I just got texted by this number and I had just posted something to Craigslist less than 10 minutes before! I'm glad I did a search online for this area code and I stumbled across the number. The reason I did a search was I did not recognize this area code. Now I know. I replied to the text that I know this is a scam so please don't bother trying to contact me again.

Keep sending messages from a craiglist post telling to send my address and personal information this needs to be stop

As noted above.  Rec'd text from 636-525-1211 located in Missouri today inquiring about an item on Craigslist in Southern California.  Web contains long list of people reporting suspected this is a suspected scammer.

It looks like this scammer is still at it!! I sure hope people who try to buy or sell anything online checks the numbers, doesn't give out any personal information! I got a message from this number and 2 others around the same time...all the same message about wanting my wedding dress and arranging pick up after their certified check/money order has cleared my account. First of all, what woman wouldn't try on a wedding dress before she bought it?! Really?! This girls didn't get fooled!!

I got a three text messages from this number and it is a scam.

Thiss person wants to buy everything I listed with a check and extra for me to take it off the post.

Recieved same text. Allot of money order scams out there (fake money order) , this is one!

Got the same texts. They are so dumb, scams always start off: "is the item still avaliable?" If you see that you know its a scam. I tried calling back, but just got voice mail, and I left a funny message lol.

Same as others. Texted back. Terms are cash only. Retired peace officer, not born yesterday.watch for deals too good to be true. Trust your instincts.

Same scam as above. Can't someone catch this person and teach him/her a lesson?

Received a sequence of 3 text messages from this person.  S/he requested that I remove my listing and 'consider the items sold to him/her. Wanted my name + address so s/he could send a certified check. I was going to respond that I only accept cash, but after reading the scam info, I'll just drop it. Thanks for your help!

craigslist scammer. txting from this number. clearly a scam... "i want to know if this item is still available for sale... " the typical same txt as you get in the millions of craigslist scam emails.

don't respond to any scammers!!!!
