BEWARE ... DEFINITELY A SCAM ... I got an email from someone called Daniel Leiva offering a new job opening. I replied the email requesting more info about the position. I replied asking more information about his company and his reply was:
"Thanks so much for your promptness. Our company's name is Egmont Shop LLC. We are located in Bronx, NY. Our website is still under construction if not we would have loved to send you to view but please feel free to call or text us at (646) 493-6301. If you are genuinely interested in the opening, kindly furnish us with the required details to get started. Thank you"

Same number used with the Craigslist ads. A TOTAL SCAM!!!

I got a text from a 646-493-6301.. Im not sure if it is the same deal yet. They just text me and said sorry, is this Kayla ( and my last name)? and not thinking I text back and said yes, who is this? I don't know if its the same thing but if so who ever is doing this should be tracked down and taken care of, go to jail for doing this to people.. so glad I looked it up so know I might have an idea of what to expect ( not that I would of given any of my information anyways) but I wonder how many have not known any better and fallen for it. Its so sad these days you cant trust anyone!

Just got a text message from them about a vehicle I have for sale on craigslist.

"Thanks, im just asking about it to make sure its in good condition as im buying it for my cousin as a surprise and he doesnt know about it, so can you assure me i will not be disappointed? also no shipment involved as i have a mover that will come for it.  Im okay with the price and condition.  I can only pay you via one of the fastest and secure way to pay online (Paypal).. Do you have..."

I usually reply to scammers with something like, "I only accept gold as payment.  Give me an address and my guards will meet you there with the item for the exchange".  ;)

Got a text from this number about using PayPal to buy something for their cousin and movers would pick it up. Decided to have some fun with this scammer and run them thru hoops

Trying to sell a vehicle on craigslist. Got the same text others did about buying vehicle for cousin.  Told them I wanted cash.  They texted back about how safe paypal was, etc.  I don't even have a paypal, I only take cash anyway.

This idiot sent me texts at 1am last night about my craigslist ad for a lift kit I'm selling:

After I responded to the first inquiry I got this:

I didn't reply....so then I get this: "hello are you there do get back to me asap" so I told them to call me and they said "sorry i can't i am a deaf woman and my phone is a text phone just get back to me with you info through text thanks"

Received a similar test today.  Same thing, selling car on craigs list, texting me, and trying to send me money via PayPal.  Sending movers to get the car too.

I just got the exact same message- wanting to buy car from Craigslist sight unseen for a cousin, using paypal.   I thought it was a scam, glad I checked here first!

Listed a Swim Spas on CL, this person wants to buy it sight unseen by using pay pal. I entered the cell# on Google and sure enough its a scammer!  646-493-5910, Karma will get you....

I put an ad on Craigslist and got texts from this number wanting to buy the item for their cousin. I found this website too late, luckily I did not give the correct name to this person.

Called us about a craigslist listing for our vehicle.  Said they were a deaf old lady so they couldn't take calls, was buying vehicle for cousin, and would have movers come pick it up.

Responed to Ad by texting instead of calling. I looked up number first and saw it was fron NY...not even close to the state the ad is being run in. I could tell something was off by the language used in text as well as not calling the ad.

this number says they are from Texas. But now I see its a NY number. They wanted to buy something from us using paypal. It has to be a scam.
