Someone claiming to be a lawyer & officer of Law making threatening calls.  They know my social security number & mailing address and tell me I owe money from a payday loan I supposedly borrowed money from.  I unfortunately did go online & did borrow money from a reputable loan site and I did pay them back but now my personal information must also must of got in the wrong hands of a scam artist who is now calling and threatening to have me arrested if I don't give them money.  They have American names but sound Asian, the phone number they call from is a New York number & I am from Memphis, Tennessee.  I want to report them to a online scammer beware site but would like more information on them so that other people can not be taking advantage of.  I never answered my phone when they call but they leave messages.

I also got the same call  today and  I reported it to the Federal Trade Commision and my states attorney office.

Received a voice message from a officer Dixon also, said he had a case against me, when I called back and finally got someone to answer I told him they needed to stop harassing me and that I was going to report them to attorney General office he proceeded to cuss me out and got very angry, only be had my full address and full social security number, now I'm worried and don't know who can help me.

I started getting calls from these "people" about a week ago.  Once they saw that they couldn't scare me or get any information from me they started calling saying vulgar things to me.  They called from different numbers every 5 minutes for 4 days until I finally had to change my cell number.  Then they started calling my job.  I don't know how to make them go away!

I also received a call from "Officer" John Peterson who said I would be arrested if  I did not return his call. That was about all I could understand. I do not know who this person is or what it is about but I do not appreciate being threatened.

I received call from 1-646-524-3267 on my cell stating that it was Officer Peterson and that i must contact him to clear up a matter. And that if I dont' he is contacting my employer and sending an officer to my home within 3 days.. The scary thing is that he had the last four nubmers of my SS#, employer name and address and my home address.  I understand this is a scam.  I am going to block this number from my phone

This guy called me at my job on 3/13/14 harassing me about me owing money. I told him that I didn?t have any outstanding loans. Gave me some BS about a case # so I told him to fax me over the info, he said that he wouldn?t and that I needed to pay now to avoid criminal charges. I told him I wouldn?t pay nor give him any of my bank info. He got upset, cussed me out and hung up. Very strange phone call.

My husband received a call from this guy today...he had his social security number and said he had deposited money into our checking account as a loan. Funny thing is we have not had a checking account in 3 years! Scary part is that he had his social security number! He then procedeed to curse at him and hang up on him. My husband called him back and he cursed and hung up on him again! Wonder what we can do about this?

A guy so called officer john dixon called and left me a voicemail saying there was legal matters against my ss.number says he will call my company and arrest me at my address. i have had different numbers and threats in past calling me and my company i work for . please someone stop this!!!.

This number is calling my restaurant using vulgar language and obscenities.  

I got a call from this number and the man said he was Officer John Peterson and that I needed to call him asap or I would suffer grave consequences. He said he would also call my boss. And if I did not comply with his demands that there would be an officer at my home to arrest me. I called and reported him to the FBI as well as my local sheriffs department. And they advised me that this is a scam and they are looking for this man making these calls.

Got the same call from fake Officer Peterson - is a scam and nobody should give him anything.  I am also forwarding his number to the FBI and authorities - I hope nobody falls for this as they are just trying to extort money from people fearful of this type of predator.  

I just got a call from a non-ebglish speaking person as well who claimed to be Officer John Peterson. He stated my last four of my social and said he would call my work and have someone arrest me. I kept the message and called him back telling him ifhe was placing a fraud call iI will report him. This is fourth time someone has called me. The last three times were from Sacramento and each time they called from the sane number it was a different name, male, with an accent from India. Do not give any info. Just ignore the call. Flag your social with the credit bureau. The police, state attorney generals office, and FBI can not do anything unless money or your credit has been disrupted.

This so called "officer" called me today too. Told me I had 3 felony charges against me and he was going to contacts boss. Gavee my social security number address and place of employment. When he said he was an officer and calling behalf of a online payday company(which I could barely understand him) I told him I don't have any loans in my name. He continues to give me some b***s*** story and gave me a case number. I decided to play along. Told him I couldn't make a payment because I was at work but I can call back after I get off. I also asked how much did I owe he says can I put you on a brief hold I reply with well I am at work can you call me back he then all of a sudden have an amount. So I'm like I thought you had to check with your attorney. Long story short I told him I was forwarding his number to the FBI and to go ahead and file because he's a sorry excuse for a scam artist and I'll see you in 48 hrs I must have pushed a button because he told me f*ck you and suck my d*ck b*tch lol the nerve of these people sometimes

Apparently this guy needs to be tought not to be a fraud, get a real job.  I just got a call today 1/6/2013  from 646-524-3267 name John Peterson officer # 18601  with 3 state federal crimes of check fraud.  A loan company had issued me a loan & I had not paid it back . Money was deposited by EFT to my account in Oct. 2013 by Cash Payday Loan but the company has not contacted me in any way. I am going to call local police about this fraud & New York plolice.

So they left a message at my work number and on my cell phone. They said they were a cop and going to arrest me and blah blah blah. I called the number back nobody picked up but they decided to call me right away saying they just receive a call from my number.

After giving him my name and told him to stop calling all numbers they have for me. He proceeded to cuss me out at which point I went right back at him. This is nothing more than a scam being run by some import from another country. If you want to cuss someone out call the number back. It was a good stress reliever

GOT CALL FROM THE NUMBER THE SAME THING.....

I am a bankruptcy attorney. One of my clients received a call from this number this morning (10/09/13). The caller identified himself as Officer John Peterson and then proceeded to tell her to f**k off, big black p****y. I returned the call and spoke to "Officer John Peterson" - who sounds like he is fresh off the boat from somewhere in the Middle East. He said he wanted to f**k me, etc etc etc. I would have been disturbing if it wasn't so pathetic. I advised him to get a better grip on the English language before he resumed making harassing phone calls.

I also received a call from this mr Peterson on Friday oct 4th and he preceded to tell me that I had three felony counts pending on me and asked me how much I would like to pay towards it to prevent him from calling my employer. Then he called again and told me that when ever someone called again to remember the code word sunshine ... These people are ridiculous and honestly something needs to be done about thrm

Got a call from this number, too. The same scums from some warehouse on some foreign island threatening the same thing. It's tough to catch them as they change numbers all the time. They can hardly speak English yet they say their name is, ie: John smith, Scott smith; etc. common American names. They want your bank info to clean you out. DONT give them any info. Tell them to "F-off" and call your  Attorney Generals office to file a complaint.

received a call from a police officer John Peterson ,Manhatten  N.Y. Fraud division. He said if i would pay now to him he would not have me arrested. He could pay off the bank and clear this up if I would pay now . I asked to speak to a supervisor and got someone who called himself  Scott a police supervisor with the police fraud division ,central office New York Police Dept. Scott threatened  three felony charges would be filed if I did not pay up now. I told him to go ahead and file. He then threatened a police officer would be coming to my house shortly `and a copy of this complaint would be filed with my employer.I called my local police dept. and was told that this is a fraud to scam people out of their money.

I got a call from this number on my job, the man left a message stating that he was Officer John Peterson and that I needed to call this number as soon as possible, if I did not call this number he would call to speak to my boss, and then have someone arrest me at my home.  646-524-3267
