Guy called today saying he was with David Hernandez law offices in Brooklyn ny. Told me the same crap about pressing charges, arresting me, downloading my case to the ny district attorney about bank fraud I committed with a payday loan. I googled that law firm while on hold with him, found out it was a personal injury attourney. Just for fun I let him go through the whole thing, then asked if he was sure this had nothin to do with an accident since he was supposedly with a personal injury attorney, or if it was just the scam since you can't legally say the things about arresting me over the phone. His answer? Okay, best of luck ma'am.
I told him he was a f*ing scumbag, and thanks for the entertainment. Don't believe these calls!

THEY HAVE BEEN HARASSING ME FOR 3 YEARS NOW. NEARLY COST ME MY JOB FROM THEM CALLING. THE SCRIPT IS THE SAME NO MATTER WHO ANSWERS THE PHONE..IF YOU LISTEN IN THE BACKGROUND NOISE THIS IS A NIGERIAN SCAM THAT HAS BEEN BROUGHT TO THE U.S.TO EXTORT MONEY FROM THE AMERICANS.IF YOU INVESTIGATE  AS I HAVE.YOU WILL FIND THAT  THE NIGERIAN GOVERNMENT IS BEHIND  THIS AND MANY OTHER SCAMS. LOOKING TO GET AS MUCH PERSONAL INFO AS NEEDED TO ASSUME YOUR IDENTITY AND ROB YOU OF EVERYTHING THEY CAN,INCLUDING SELLING YOUR PROPERTY AND HOMES AND LAUNDERING THE MONEY SEVERAL TIMES ACROSS THE US BEFORE IT BEING SENT TO NIGERIA.I KNOW BECAUSE I WAS A VICTOM OF THE LAUNDERING PROCESS UNTIL I GOT SMART AND STARTED ASKING TOO MANY QUESTIONS AND REDUSED TO WESTERN UNION A LARGE AMOUNT OF CASH AND WENT TO THE POLICE. AS A REAULT. THIS IS THE FIRST TIME IN 18 MONTHS I HAVE BEEN CONTACTED .THEY WILL STOP FOR A WHILE.AND START AGAIN.JUST MENTION MONEY LAUNDERING AND EXTORTION AND IF YOU ARE LUCKY THE CALLS WILL STOP.

My son keeps getting calls from this number.  I advised him to contact our family attorney.   He said he had a friend call the number back and tell them he was an attorney and that he wanted him to fax the documents to him for his review.  Still nothing was faxed.  My son didn't take any pay day loan, which is what the guy is calling about.  He is a student in college. He told him that there would be a sherrif at our home at 11:00 am tomorrow and he is going to jail.  My son called down to the police station and they said they have nothing open on him (which we knew they wouldn't).  So, my son filed a police report and gave them the number he is calling from.  He has an indian decent accent.  Very rude and demanding.  I contacted our attorney so he can follow through with the police.  Put hawk alerts with all three credit bureaus.  My attorney said to make sure there is a police report, give them the # they call from, notify the credit bureaus.  Change your cell phone/home phone number if need be.

I received several phone calls from these idiots. They called me, my husband, my son and my place of employment. They said that they were a company hired by another company but they weren't allowed to say who. Then he tells me that he needs my address so that he can have someone serve me with papers in the next 3 hours and I need to make sure I'm at home. It is such BS, I mean really, if someone wants to serve someone with legal papers isn't it suppose to be a surprise? Also, if they know every persons number that has has a phone in my family should'nt they have my address? I just hang up on them or don't even answer now.

I just got a phone call from the same guy saying the same thing. Do not give these people any information or money. SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The same guy called me to.  He said that If I don't pay him 850.00 in 1 hour I would be "behind the bars".  He also said that I would need to pay him via moneypak.  I asked the guy what about western union and money-gram.  he sad that they cannot take any money from a checking account.  Give me a break.  The guy called my desk line too.  He said his name was Ramon or something from a law firm.  I hope these guys get caught really fast.  While on the line with the guy, I hear others in the room getting read the same riot act.

i got a call from someone claimimg to be Ronnie Wilson asking for my lawyers name and number he transferred me to the investigation department, which it was probably still him lol,  and they told me i was a suspect in receiving stolen money and some other stuff. said that a company named us cash services deposited money in my bank account and when they tried to get the money back they couldnt. I never had any kind of loan or anything deposited into my account. He said they have been emailing me which i told him i never received any emails or anything about this case. said someone is going to call me tomorrow with more info i guess. couldnt understand him that well. such a scam please beware everyone

I just got a voice mail from this same number, and the man calling said he was "Attorney John something" and to call his "hotline" back at whatever the 646 number was.  Now all of that was humorous enough, but the BEST part of the call was when he said if I didn't call him back I would end up "behind the bars".

ig ot the same phone call. i get these like every other month but how can i go about making sure my ss is safe with these spam callers? last thing anyone needs is their Identity stolen from these jerk offs. any suggestions.

This is a scam!!!! Do not send them any money. They continue to harass me at work about a loan from Ud payday services. The company does not exist.  When I refused to pay a tell them I know this is a scam they hang up and block my number.

I've been getting calls  like this all day , every day for the past few months. They have all my personal info. It's really scary to think that some one can get that much info about a person. I answered the call today...should have let it go to voice mail... The guy said that a company called U.S. Cash something was pressing charges against me for an online loan that I got but never paid back. Said that a cop will come to my home or work and arrest me if I don't pay him $700.00 right now. If I can't afford an attorney one will be appointed to me.      " You will be in big trouble if you don't pay back the money!  If I don't hear from you or your attorney then I have no choice but to wash my hands of this and wish you luck in court! You will have to pay all of the expense and  it will cost you $5000.00." I guess i will see if a law enforcement officer comes to my work tomorrow. Thank you all for posting your stories it makes me feel better.

Just received 8 calls at my work number in a row.  Would not say anything,  just hang up.  When you call back someone with a heavy Indian accent answers with Law Office.  Claims to be in Brooklyn.

Well this person has ALOT of information about me my last 4 SSN-  my email addy -my regular addy -where I bank... however reading the above posts helped I almost was scammed into thinking they are real geez they are getting REALLY good b/c I do do a lot of online check apps I shouldn't I know..

This is a criminal extortion scam operating out of India. They are making the calls utilizing VOIP and the names of legitimate firms to make it appear the calls are originating from within the US. There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will NOT be arrested. They are harvesting and/or buying consumers' personal identifying information from unscrupulous websites like the one you may have filled out an application with, and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/, placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities.

I got a call the guy was foreign threatening me and saying i would be in big trouble if i didnt reyurn his call gr calls sll day and even knew my SS #.And criminal charges would be brought against me What can i do to stop  him from calling and knowing he has my SS #

just got a call and the man identified himself as a police officer looking for an old employee of mine - scoundrels

I got a phone call yesterday demanding that I pay $200.00  or get an attorney and if I did not pay I would have a warrent issued for my arrest, he said that I got a loan and did not pay it, I told him that I would rather go to court and talk to the judge, he said that the judge would not talk to me without an attorney, little dose he know, I have some legal experiance and have attorney friends. what a jerk,

They have been calling me for about a month, telling me that is a lawsuite against me. They won't tell me "who" and for "what". I have not recieved any info in the mail in regards to their calls.

I have been getting calls from that number as well. They are claiming that there is a lawsuite against my name and SS.

I received a call from a guy with an indian accent stating that I owed for a payday loan which I know wasn't true he stated he is a federal officer and gave me a fake case number and everything and then he demanded that I send him $1,000... yeah right..lol

Same thing happened to me only he even had the gall to my work.
