I'm dealing with this guy right now. I have a scooter I'm selling. And they are willing to buy it sight unseen and no pic. Oceanographer,agent, for his kid. Thanks to all of you that took the time to make this web site possible. Scammmen ppl need to get a job like the rest of us.

WOW! This guy called our Ditch Witch lovely!! I knew it had to be a scam. I tried calling this number back twice with no answer or reply. He is very quick to respond via text though!! Don't fall for it!! What a shame!!!

My fiance just had the same thing happen to him by this so called oceanographer , who wanted to buy our four wheeler for his son which we had just listed yesterday on craigs list in lafayette , indiana . he was very pushy about paypal and wanting to send an agent to pick up the four wheeler , my gut told me this didnt seem right and that this just seemed to fishy to me , so i looked the number up and now we know our gut instinct was correct.people like this need stopped , its sad that families lose their hard earned money to people like this...

Yeah I just got the same txt but a friend of mine gave me the heads up already what a loser like really.

I also had an car add in louisiana, and they responded between 4-4:30 am

Just  contacted by text message from this # about a motor home I had listed on Craigslist in Lafayette, La.
Wanted to send 60, 000 to my paypal acct. without even seeing the motor home. They also used the same terms as lovely, and oceanographer and wanted to buy it for his son. Glad I found this site to verify that it really is a SCAM.

I just got contacted by someone from this number also regarding a car I have in Craigslist in Lafayette, Louisiana.  This seems to be a new trend.  I also got a similar response by someone wanting to buy it for their father but was out of town as a marine biologist.  They were going to have a representative "collect" the vehicle and title for them.  Yeah, right!  SCAM! That's all this is.  I'm glad a friend told me to Google the number.  I'll remember that next time.

Same thing...  I've got a custom built entertainment center that I do feel is "lovely" and felt special, until I saw that this idiot also thinks land and hunting equipment is "lovely".  Funny stuff...

i had the same thought "lovely" for hunting equipment. i looked up the number and read y'alls complaints about this number. glad i did. notice the word i used "y'all" yes i am from the south just proves us southerners might have been born at night but not last night. thank y'all very much

I had the same experience with this number! A motorcycle as "lovely"? Very pushy on getting my paypal account information. Beware of these people and ignore their texts and calls.

I also received the same type of text message regarding a powered wheelchair that we are trying to sell after the death of my mother in law. They described it as "lovely". An odd description for a wheelchair. They said they could not call me because of the secrecy of their job. But then told me they were an oceanographer and was leaving for an assignment tomorrow. An "agent" of theirs would have to pick it up and they would deposit the money in my PayPal. I am glad that I caught on and told them we accept cash only. Imagine that.....we didn't hear from them again. Beware of ridiculous people who have nothing better to do than scam people.

he did the same thing to me but sent me a fake paypal email. it showed that he deposited the money in my paypal but when i looked nothing so i call paypal and they said it was a scam fing people get a fing job and stop trying to take peoples money

Yes, I listed my vehicle on craigslist and got a text from this number at 5:30 in the morning saying it was "lovely" which I found to be an odd description.  And then they said they wanted to buy my car for the price but couldn't come look at it and would be out of the country and wouldn't be able to be contacted which sounded sketchy, because who would buy a car and not look at it!?  Glad I checked the number and realized it was a scam!

this scammer text me how lovely my item was......i never had a picture of what i am selling!! this is a scammer!!!  saw my advert???

He's out of the country, that's why it was 1:00 am in the morning.  He wants to send a cashiers check, but the cashiers check is fake.  By the time you find out it's fake, he will have your merchandise.  It takes the banks a long time to get the cashiers check back and then notify you.

Same thing exactly happened to me..He says the same thing all the time..must have worked at least once

Person from number, 646-833-9398/6468339398 contacted me via text about a couple items I had for sale on a local classifieds site at 1:57am this morning. They used the term: advert... who uses that? I responded, unaware that these types of things occurred, advising of the lowest price I would take for my items as requested in first text..

Then I received a response back stating:
"Hello, I really appreciate your response to my previous text. Just to let you know that I'm satisfied with the condition of the item. Like I said I will like to purchase this item for my wife as a surprise birthday gift so kindly withdraw your advert from KSL but i will not be able to look at the item or pick it up from your place because I am currently out of the state, I'm"

and nothing after that. I will not be further responding. I'm just glad this site came up for 646 area code look up. When he said that he wouldn't be able to look at it because he is out of state, it triggered me to look up where 646 actually was.  Had I not googled it, I may have not even caught on. *** DO NOT RESPOND TO THIS PERSON***

This number user contacted me about purchasing a vehicle in the mountain west region of the country.  
There was some unusual phrasing and the times of the call were odd for someone doing any kind of business.  Also, too much secrecy about the caller's identity.
