WHAT COMPANY DOES THIS NMBER BELONG TO

The person who called was Shane from Windows.  He claimed that my software was emitting an error message and he wanted me to turn on my computer.  He also asked me if the computer was mine or whether it was shared.  I asked him what the problem was and he said that my computer was most likely hacked.  Suspicious, I said I wanted to verify a couple of details and would call him back.  He demanded to know when I would do that.  I said that I wanted to check to make sure that this call wasn't fraudulent.  He got angry and said that when my computer crashed, I would know.

THIS IS A SCAM. Read about the your-PC-is-infected scam here http://news.softpedia.com/news/Cold-Call-Tech ... on-150170.shtml They lie about your PC sending out malware, error messages, etc., and say your PC is about to crash to frighten you into giving them remote control of your PC to fix the nonexistent problem (don't let them!). If they ask you to open the systems tab in eventvwr.msc to see all the errors, these harmless errors are *normal* for any Windows PC (mine has several and it runs just fine). Don't let them take control of your PC because they can download *real* malware, possibly a malware suite, that can spam, steal bank logins and personal info, etc. If they've remoted into your PC, the safest fix is to re-format your drive and re-install your OS assuming you have clean backups of your data. You can try scanning with various antivirus software but scanning may not find all the malware. If you don't know how, get help from friends or pay a local shop to do it. THIS IS A SCAM.

Got a  call from this number last evening. Indian guy who actually yawned in the phone as he spoke. Said he was calling about my "Windows computer". I told him I do not have a Windows computer and asked why he was calling me. He hung up on me. This guys a creep!

they called i told them my wife left with the comp. he told me he had a friend for me. told him i was now homeless, he said me and my new fried could live with him.lol

received a call today from 646 915 1364 claiming that my computer had a virus and she wanted me
to turn my computer on and she would explain it to me, It was at that point, I hung up on her.
Sure it was a sham to sell me something to clean my computer, No thanks,,

We have an unlisted number and have received at least 10 calls today, not all from this number, but they just called and we didn't answer.

My parents also got this call... then called me because they were worried...  I think this is a hoax

We also received a call today 11/11/2010 from Alex at Microsoft Windows Security saying the International Routing Service was dedecting a virus from our computer and Norton Anti-virus would not clean it up.  Asked us to get into Start and Our Computer to list virus and we decided to discontinue the call at that time.

I got the same phone call today at about 2 p.m. EST. Said they were from Online PC Solutions. Said that our computers were sending out errors that were appearing on his error report. I asked him to give me an IP address of one of our PCs that was showing up on his error report - he told me he couldn't, but if I called 646-915-1364, they could give me an IP address. I deduced that it was a hoax or some sort of sales call.

Called saying they were with online pc solutions. Noone here has had a problem with computer. Says name is Frances. Shows up on caller ID as out of area and the numbers 2127. 2127 is all it shows.
