i keep getting calls from this number saying they are from the U.S.Justice Department and they also say that if my lawyer or I don't respond uickly that i will be arrested and all they can dois wish me good luck . the caller gives a different name all the time and identifies himself as a Shawn Carter. Everytime there is a call from this number there is a different caller and a different name used.

This company Department of Justice of a [undisclosed entity name] doing third party collections for CashNet llc.  I have reported them to the FBI and the Texas Attorney General's office.  They said I owed a payday loan which I took out and didn't pay in June [the calls started in July].  I asked them for specific information and "Steve" [Indian or Pakistani] told me that he can't disclose exactly when, with what company or any account number, but I owe $600.  I called Cashnet.  They advised me that their computer was hacked and information was leaked out on online accounts, which would be why the guy gave me only last four of critical numbers.  They are harassing, belligerent and foreigners scamming for money.  They are under investigation and have multiple numbers.  I did find that there is listed a Cashnet USA LLC and a separate CashNet India LLC registered.  The India company is probably how they are getting around "impersonating" the USA company.  Steve told me that if I didn't pay the cops will be at my door "tomorrow" to arrest me for fraud....still waiting...that was about 2 months ago.

I had the same phone call come to me at my work. I told them that I was going to report him to the Better Business Bureau. He says, I left a message yesterday. I said I can't help that. This is a work number and I will report you. He kept trying to argue and wanted to leave another message.

A person by the name of Steve White called from 646-918-5106.  He supposedly stated I owed money to a payday loan and I haven't paid them back since last January.  My question is why is it you are contacting me now and not back then?  And if this is so, why didn't the company just take out this money directly from my account if they so called had my account information.  He claimed by 11am today they will send papers to my work and my home address to appear in court if i don't comply or work something out with them.  I have not yet to call them back to make any arrangements because this man sounds like a scam artist. Its very frustrating to deal with people like this and what gives them the right to do so?

They claimed to be with the Department of Justice, I called the DoJ switchboard and the Operator passed me to the FBI who stated the call was a scam.  They called a second time, still claiming to be DoJ and I conference the DoJ switchboard on the line and they disconnected.  The number they called me from was 646-918-5106.  The number for the DoJ Switchboard is 202-514-2000 per their website at http://www.justice.gov/contact-us.html

They have called my home and cell--I do not have any loans or debts that are unpaid, obviously a scam smh

the call isn't from verizon - my cell phone is a verizon - my mistake - I have no idea what the name of the company is...

I have had 4 calls from a 052693119 number with a call back number of 646-918-5106.  The caller is Indian or Pakistani and says the message is for a Michael Kirkwood - never heard of Michael Kirkwood!  He says the message is extremely urgent and it involves a credit issue?  One funny thing - he was obviously reading from a script and got himself mixed up on two of the 4 occasions and said he was calling for Michael Kirkwood and that HIS name was Michael Kirkwood - then he realizes his mistake, gives an exasperated sound and hangs up the call.

Calling from a 9 digit number 052 693 119...stating that they aer trying to reach a certain person that owe them money...Im a person that has nothing to do with this service and want it to be stopped...
