Don't stress if you gave them your info; it's a legit company. It's BBM Canada (Bureau of Broadcast Measurement,) at 1500 Don Mills Rd, North York, ON M3B 3K4 and they're listed on yellowpages.ca.
Among other things, they conduct surveys on people's radio listening and television watching habits. They also have small, pager sized devices that automatically record radio and television signals in their vicinity and they pay people to carry them around with them so it can automatically record radio and tv habits.
Your privacy isn't in danger.

These guys are weird. I've totally picked up, answered a survey and made a whopping five bucks that they sent to me in the mail. Recently, I try to call this specific number back (there's at least a couple, one has an anwering machine) and I get one of those '14-t-2' this number is unavaible messages. Maybe there's a real bbm and a fake one? I do know that at least one had a real person on the line and sent me cash money.
snyper 2014-04-20 21:15:41 Unknown
I charge 500$/hr for phone or mail in surveys paid in advance. Online surveys I charge 200$ per survey but with an additional charge of 500$ per hour or part thereof.
Jennifer 2014-04-20 21:11:40 Unknown
I don't even have a television and who listens to the radio anymore? Stop calling me, I am not interested in providing you with information to sell to radio and television stations.

This is the email I got from BBB when I threatened them with a complaint to the CRTC

they might be exempt from the DNCL based on the fact they call themselves a survey company but... according to the CRTC, they are still bound by the section of the regulations regarding the use of auto-dialers
Part III and IV

snyper 2014-04-20 20:46:40 Unknown
shill. BBM is nothing more than a pathetic excuse for a telemarketer hiding behind the label of "Survey company" so they are exempt from the do not call list. Well let me tell you something Mr. BBM Shill, I know enough about the CRTC and the Do Not Call List to keep you so busy responding to complaints that you won't have time to hassle anyone.

BBM Canada, they're relentless and very entitled - they will call you every six months, at lunch, in the evenings, on the weekends, over and over, until you answer the phone. When you try to point out that you're on the do not call list and didn't sign up to receive their calls, they go on a spiel about how they're a very large and very old organization and how the do not call list doesn't apply to them and how you'll be doing the world a favor by letting them collect the statistics that they can later sell to broadcast corporations.
Basically, either block them altogether or just pick up, say you're not interested and hang up. Easy to identify - they seem to always call from the same number and call display says "BBM CANADA".
P.S. They're the same jerks that tried suing BlackBerry over the use of "BBM" trademark, as if anyone would be confusing an instant messenger platform with a broadcasting corporation surveying lapdog company.

Have you ever wondered how radio and television stations find out who's listening to or watching their programs? In Canada, they rely on BBM to provide them with this information.
We use several different methods of collecting the ratings data. Twice a year we conduct surveys, contacting thousands of people across Canada. We send them paper diaries to fill out and keep track of their viewing or listening and mail back to us. We also use electronic meters in a carefully selected panel of homes.

Got calls from BBM 6472630294 almost every other days for last two months. Not answered but no message. I don't answer any calls from numbers I don't know. Wish they stop calling with no answer.

I got 2 calls in 2 days. i missed the first one but answered the second one. the caller sounded like they were on a cell phone in their car and hung up within 2 or 3 seconds. when i tried calling back i got an error "6 UT 1, the number you have reached is not in service". i did a reverse lookup on the number and it came up as a Telus phone from East York. Then i googled it and found this.
anon 2014-04-05 13:33:44 Unknown

Have answered this before, wanting my address for a radio survey, I refused to give address and asked to be put on the so called "Do Not Call" list and they hung up on me... I'm still getting calls from this number... seems to come in 2 or 3 week cycles... they try calling for a few days, then it goes away again
weirded out 2014-04-03 02:24:41 Unknown

It's BBM Canada, they do radio surveys, they send you a package in the mail to fill out and send back, regarding which radio stations you listen to. They do it every 6 months and they also sent me $2 for my efforts lol, it's totally harmless.

Survey Company. Has called me dozens of times with hangups perviously.
