Received a letter dated 1/25/2011 same information as David.  Have tried to call 1-647-838-2712 many many times and number is always busy.  Knew it had to be a scam

Received a letter (snail mail) with an enclosed check for $3700.00, with an obvious
scam, as it states I am one of 20 winners sharing $ 1,300,000.00 equally giving me
$ 65,000.00.  I am not to attempt to cash this check until I call 1-647-838-2712,
and talk to a Mrs. Donna Smith for clarification and instructions for winning.  Part of
this sum $2,700.00 is to be for paying the taxes on the $65,000.  Yea for sure!  Send your money hold a phony check.  The letter states
