They actually still remain "unknown" even when you answer the phone.  No one ever comes on the line...not even a pre-recorded message!  It's just dead silence and, if you wait long enough, it hangs up on you.  Kind of like they're calling to see what times people are home.  Very creepy and invasive!!!!

"Unknown Name" from 647-847-0612 calling on 9/16/2011 at 1:18 PM PDT on my home phone.  I checked area code and it is Toronto, Canada.  I guess all the scammers in the US got nowhere calling us that the ones in Canada have to give it a try.  We have received calls from every imaginable source trying to get our money or vote and the answer will always be "no".  Be careful of anyone who will not leave a message or hangs up after 3 rings.

Called my home at 1:18 PM PDT on 9/16/2011.  Didn't wait for anyone to pick up the phone, much less leave a message on the answering machine.  Must be on a budget.  Caller Id read "unknown name".  I guess they will remain unknown unless I answer the phone in time or they are brave enough to leave a message.  More than likely someone trying to part me from my money.  From Toronto, Canada.
