Received call from person stating he was with Microsoft Tech support and that my computer was infected with dangerous virus and  malware which if I continued to run without removal/repair my computer would crash. The # on caller id was "unknown" , I asked for him to verify his status with MS, he gave me phone # 1-647-931-5619 & employee # SMW456, also he was located in Tampa,Fl. This was all bogus. DON'T GIVE ANY INFORMATION OR LET THEM HAVE CONTROL OF YOUR COMPUTER. I called MS and reported the call I was told this is a SCAM & it works most of the time because people fall for pitch.

A guy named Sunny called from Microsoft support and said that my PC was corrupted with malicious and dangerous files. He was from Bangladesh. He asked for my credit card, which I foolishly gave him after he played around with my computer for about an hour. I called my bank to release the money and they said it was a scam and closed my credit card number and are issuing a new one Sunny also transferred my call to a Michael, who was the one to give me the "deal". When I asked for his phone  number he gave me 647-931-5619. He became angry when I hung up on him. I called my son-in-law who works for Dell and he said it was a scam as well as he called the number and it was not being answered and then looked it up on Google. Please do not fall for this scam. I now need to change passwords and see if any damage was done to my computer.

I received a call from "Michael", with a strong Indian accent.  He gave me the telephone number 647-931-5619.  He said that he was calling from Microsoft and that my computer would crash without his help.  When I began questioning him, he told me that my computer would be "blacklisted" by Microsoft.  I immediately filed a criminal report.  After doing that, I called the number and asked for the supervisor.  Guess who?  Michael.  I told him that I had just filed the criminal report and he was furious.  Definitely a scam!

Some guy calling that I had critical files on my computer and he was a Microsoft expert.  When I asked him for his phone he was upset that I questioned, I just told him to leave me alone and take my phone off his call list.  Then just hung up on him.

This is a total scam that allows them to have access to your computer and your information. Do not comply with their requests. They call from all various phone numbers. The best approach is to simply hang up the phone.

The caller said he was with microsoft and was going to keep my computer from crashing.  He had me go to eventvwr and see the warnings and said they were going to make my computer crash within 24 hours if I didnt go the www.support.me and enter the 6 digit code that he gave me which gave him access to my computer so he could fix it.  I didnt enter any codes.

I just received a call from the number 92581, a man identified himself as Daniel with Microsoft Windows Service Center. He indicated I had 2 Malicious Files on my computer that entered thru the Internet Gateway; accidently via download. I asked him for a number to return his call and he provided me with 647-931-5619.

A couple of months ago I fell for this, and I've noticed files and pics missing, plus last week someone hacked into my hotmail account and has been sending out weird emails. I changed my password yesterday, plus started a new email account. I refuse to give out any further information!

Got a call from someone who said they were an IT from Windows support. He wanted me to log into my computer and do something. I asked for a number to call back to verify that he was a representative form Windows Support. He gave me 647-931-5619 but my caller ID said 503-902-8480 number heading says "Lower Interest". The number he gave me was Ontario. The guy said he was calling from Fl, he had an East Indian accent. This guy was definitely shady.

I got a call from a guy calling himself "Chris Anderson" from Window's Support. Strong East Indian accent. He tried to tell me that my computer is full of "errors" and that if I turned one of my computers on, he would log on to my computer and help me clean it up.Looking for your email address, phone number and birthdate. Obviously looking to get your identity or versions thereof.
After a few twists, said he was calling from Ottawa but could not give me the postal code from Ottawa.
Called again and my on ( the computer guy of the family) set up a virtual machine and tracked all his IP addresses. He will be posting them in a IT forum to expose these people. When I confronted him, he stressed that he was not doing anything illegal.
Beware!!

said they were from "window support centre" and there were malicious files or folders on your machine. Had me go to event viewer for log.  Warnings normal but they tried to tell me that these were files that would cause my "computer to crash within the next 24 hours".
