My sister got a call same thing something about a payday loan they needed credit card info or she would be arrested. They were really disrespectful

Just got a call saying to call this number back about some "lawsuit" and if i don't, best of luck to me, some foreign guy using the name Mark Henry or something, like that could possibly be his name. Anyone have any ideas?

A VERY rude indian man with a very heavy accent called my job today. He said I owed around $6000.00 in payday loans. He had all my information including my mom's name and my ss#. He was extremely rude, yelling at me! I told him that he called me so how was he going to be rude to me?? He said that I would be arrested from my job tomorrow morning and taken to court. This completely freaked me out! I started asking questions and he said he was from the cybercrime division but for what company...I have no idea. He said his name was Kevin Foster. I called my local police department and they told me it sounded like a scam and that the next time he called me to ask him more questions and see if there was a company he could name. Other than that they said there is no such thing as debtors prison in the US and that collection agencies can NOT arrest you. The only time you are arrested is if you owe taxes to the federal government. This is horrible that people do this and shatter the everyday life a normal person just trying to work. Like most of you I was so scared. I didnt know if I was even going to come to work the next day because of the embarrassment it would cause. This is a form of harassment and every call should be reported to the FCC and local police.

They were also very rude with my sister and they told her that they were going to arrest her if she wouldn't pay.  They told her they would see her behind bars.

They tried giving me the name of the company but couldn't understand a word they were saying.  They had an accent and were very rude.

they called my sister and told her the same thing but about a payday loan.  They told her that she needed to send them credit or debit card information for a payment of 1500.  They stated that they needed the payment by 1100 or they would arrest her from her work and she was going to have to go to California for court.  They were very rude and also called her work and harrased people there.

Foster called sayig that I took out a loan of 300 with a payday loan company called cashnetexpress. He gave me all of my correct information that I requested and verified. If I don't pay them then I will have investigators at my house tommorrow morning to take me in.  He transferred me to a Jason Morris and said that he is filing the papers today.  When I called back and told him that the account that he is claiming the deposit went into the account was closed in the same month and that I was not wanting to pay the company back.  He starting to say that I was laying and when I asked when in January 2009 he said he did not have the info.  We will see tommorrow at 11am to see if anyone shows up.  I kept calling him today to verify information but by 1pm he said that there is nothing else he can do and that all the information he had he already downloaded the information to the investigators/  
He said that if I called again he would press charges against me for harrassment.  My husband called from his phone and the company name was unknown.  They answer the phone by orange county, cyber monitoring and crime monitering.  Beware..my husband and I have been scammed by them before we knew any better.

I received several calls from them threatening me with jail if I did not comply with their rules. They wanted me to send them $500 the next morning or POLICE would be at my door. Still receiving these calls and threats but have no further information for the cops.

these people call me and if i answer they hang up. if let them leave a message they say i am in big trouble...lol need to call them or best of luck...must be a scam i am afraid to call it back for fear that they will charge me like 500 dollars a minute for the call...

Better Business Bureau has issued a national alert about phony debt collectors that are calling consumers nationwide and claiming that they have defaulted on a payday loan and will be arrested if they don?t pay immediately.

Claiming to be lawyers, the scammers say they are with the ?Financial Accountability Association? or the ?Federal Legislation of Unsecured Loans? and often have the victim?s Social Security, old bank account numbers or driver?s license numbers as well as home addresses, employer information and even the names of personal friends and professional references.

A male with a strong accent have been calling,trying to leave messages for me about a unpaid loan, gave my sisters and grandmas name and said if i dont resolve this by 6 p.m. this evening, 2 investigators will be coming to my address(gave me my correct address)on monday to bring me to the courthouse to face more serious charges? gave me the # 650-423-2161. his name was mark brown.

Man called me today saying his name was Kevin Foster (foreign - I couldn't understand him thru part of the conversation) with Cyber Crimes Department.  Said I owned money for a loan I never took out.  Had my SS#, bank info, address, work #, etc.  Threatened to have me arrested in the morning if I didn't settle matter immediately.  Said I borrowed $300.00, but could clear the matter up for $847.00.  Refused to fax over "court documents".  Said they would arrest me at work.  Became verbally abusive when I started asking basic questions.  When I asked to speak with a supervisor I was on hold for a few minutes, then the same guy came back on the line & said his name was Mark Fraiser.  I called local police and the officer I spoke with said they had called him with the same scam.

These people called and left my husband a voicemail yesterday and the gentleman said his name was Donald Rogers (ironic since that is my husband's first name). They called my husband again and spoke with him this morning and was telling him he would be forced to go to the courthouse here even though they would not tell him how that was to be done.  They had all of his information as well (ssn, address, telephone numb, etc.)  He called back to get a fax of the lawsuit against him and they told him that they are not able to fax the info and hung up when he started asking questions.

yep they called me and told me to call back a John Williams at 6504232161 for my court date the next day. they had all my info, listed references which i believe i used while financing a motorcycle at KTM motorsports in orange county.they had my ssn and address.

received a call from a Barbi Lasley (foreign speaking male. Perhaps Nigerian or Kenyan). Was asked to either return a call to 650-423-2161 or have my attorney call. Was told if did not return call that all he could do is wish me luck as the situation unfolds.

Watch out they had me flipping out called me to pursue a loan stating that i owed them from somewhere and that they would return to my work and arrest me. When we called them back to try and get information they knew everything about me. My social my address everything. They are phone scammers they will do whatever it takes to keep you on the phone. Call at and t or whoever your carrier is ASAP and try to have the charges erased. Best of luck to you.

I don't think they know what the name of their company is.  They use false alias' and give any name they feel like at that time.

Caller called my wife said she owed debt for an unpaid check loan on a bank account that she never owned. Told her police were going to arrest her the next day if she didn't pay the balance. They had her SS# and personal information and the bank account number from Charles Swab. However my wife has never banked with Charles Swab. So she called Charles Swab they said that account had never been active. I then called them and told them if they continued to harass my wife I would call the FBI.
