I have recieved spam texts from and unknown number. Sorry I deleted it but definitely was pornography call. I was surprised that outsiders (other than contacts) can message you. It was a 600 area code number as well. How do we prevent this from happening? There is no option on the privacy sectiion. Please advise.

Hi,
In order for customers to use Viber, they need to enter their phone number. In order for Viber to verify that its them, they send a code for customers to enter on Viber. Customers can choose to receive the code either via text or via a call. I think some people are either careless that they enter wrong numbers accidentally & it turns out that viber sends the code to the number they entered. Or, those people like to mess.

That is RIGH, it's from BIBER when you do not get a text message when have downloaded app and are logging in, you need a code from Viber sent by text, sometimes not working, then you get a automatic voice call from tis number, it is ok!
