I just got one from a previous tenant that said
Hi Landlord, Cassie just .....
My theory is that these people download an app that is a worm and it goes through their contact list and sends texts to whomever is named under the list. Seeing I was the landlord and that is probably how she had me saved in her phone

From same number and got similar message to Bill saying Jacob added me to their local network on circle and included a link to install something. Didn't install it. Can't think of who Jacob is. Don't do facebook either.

I don't know any Steve's, but what is scarier is that I go by Andy, but that is not my real name. HOW DID THEY KNOW, who did they hack, or did they already hack me?
