Hello Mr. Myname . I as who's calling? ...................nothing else.

I get sick of these calls I'am on the don't call  list lot of good it does.I got 2 calls today

same calls from 231.796.7051 - one shows as Midwest Publishing and this one shows as MPI -

Picked up a call from Unknown Name with number 651-917-2179. No response. About five minutes later another call, this time from Unknown Caller with no number displayed. I let it ring through to the answering machine and all that was recorded was a disconnect tone. I am on the Do Not Call list and filed a complaint with their registry.

2nd call in as many days. No one there when you answer

Listed only as MPI - no message left

Annoying - they called and did not say anything.

This number calls me constantly.

Ditto.  HAve received numerous calls from this number (as identified by *69) and no one is ever there.

I keep getting calls on Sunday mornings and after 10pm weekdays. No message left.

The calls are constant and harrassing.  We have had calls all day and night, weekends included.  sometimes someone is there, sometimes not.  Have been asked for all kinds of charitable donations.  It is very wearing on a person.  I hate to cancel my phone service over this unsolisted harrassment.  Sometimes the caller id displays MPI, sometimes Unknown.

I have had 3 calls.  No message. Just the caller ID of MPI and the phone # 651-917-2179
I am do not call list too.
I have not tried to call it back.

This group is a boiler room claiming to be a non profit company.  They are thieves so do not give out your credit card number.  Report this number to the FCC.  They have several 800 numbers too and unlisted numbers through computer IP's as well.  FCC needs to have some good tech people to track them and catch them.

called twice on 7/26/09 between 8pm and 8:40pm but hung up when I answered on the third ring. caller id said MPI.

This number is on our phone caller ID, daily. We do not pick up. They have never left a message. If anyone asks us for charitable donation we respond: 'We do not give to telephone solicitations!' and hang up. I think calling them back gives them verification that they reached a valid,working phone number.

August 5, 2009, call came twice this early evening.  When answered, no one responds.

Calls before 9am on Sunday, after 10pm days, as well as during day.  651-917-2179 and MPI shows on caller ID, no messages left on machine. I did not return their call.  I am on Do Not Call List.

This number calls and sees if there is an answer then you get another call later from a different number claiming to be solicitingdonations for breast cancer.

there's no excuse, once you've told them not to call and to remove you off the call list they are not suppose to call you again. after that, it's a crime.

My loose bottom is bleeding profusely and is the cause for my irratibility! Grrr!

Giving practical and realistic advice isn't disrespectful.  I didn't call anyone a moron, although it would've been easy to while weeding through the hissy-fits to find and actual complaint.

I'm sure you're on the federal DNC and you're pissed just like everybody else is that they still get calls.  But like it or not, charities are exempt from it, as are non-profits.  

I don't want them calling me at all hours of the day either- whether I answer or not.  Complaints don't do anything, and you know that.  There's really a quite simple solution to all of this.  When a charity calls, pick up the phone, as for a supervisor immediately and request to be put on the company's do not call list.

The federal DNC registry only protects you from sales and services.  You need to request to be put on the Do not call file of the company that's calling you.  It's not complicated.

That's because you're on the Federal DNC.  It's only applicable for sales and services.  For-profits contracted by non profits slip through the cracks.  That being the case, for profits that do this kind of thing have their own do not call file.  Request to be placed on it.  Easy, problem solved.

No one mentioned the Federal DNC list, so why are you bringing it up?  Besides that, anyone with half a brain knows the DNC is only applicable for sales and services.  You perpetuate this point.

I'm unemployed.  I know that there is a difference between malice and stupidity- that these callers are not calling people with malicious intent, and I also know when someone is throwing a hissy-fit like the woman I responded to.

The internet is a huge place, so I'm sure you can find some other place to menstruate, right?

They are out of Minn. they are a call center who call for charities and take a cut of the donations.

Machine picked it up... caller called my first name, waited then hung up. I am in southeast Michigan. I *69'ed the call and got this number from my phone after the call... 651-917-2179
