I got the same call today not ftom this # it was a 202 area code, threatening that the legal system will fall on my head

I have had an issue with this number for months. One day it's a call from New York City next it's California. I can't block the number because they call from another phone number. They get pretty irate when you don't give them the information they are looking for and I honestly think it's one guy with different names. If anyone has a suggestion on whom to call or what I can do about the issue please let me know.

There's more than just 1 phone number that they have and give to the victims.  I was reading some other posts on another website forum.  From what I understand, these calls are actually coming from Pakistan, they have a phone account with something like vonage, where you can get a phone number in the u.s, but can go practically anywhere and use the phone number as long as you take the phone device with you. I've been advised to call the FBI, FTC, all 3 credit bureau's, your local law enforcement and your bank.  This has to be stopped!!!

I received a call on my job from a man with an Indian sounding accent. He says his name is Adam Scott. Indicates he is an officer with the Bureau of Crime & Investigation from California. States that I had received Electronic Transfer Funds into my account in August of  2010 from a payday (cash advance) loan.  As this officer was being rude in tone, I had advised him that I have not taken out a payday loan, the officer advised me that I took this loan out over the internet, he also advised of my last 4 of my checking account # and my email address (which anyone can get an email).
He then advised me that I only had 3 choices:
1. Go to jail for 3 months/ and I would need to come to CA
2. Get a criminal lawyer and have the lawyer contact him
3. Make it easy and pay the amount (359.85 ?????????)
I advised to this so called officer that, I did not have any funds transferred into my account of that amount at that time frame.
He advised to me that I was a criminal and I needed to come to CA
**I found that offensive as I never stole anything in my life or have any sort of criminal record
**He advised me that it is not my problem and I needed to pay this amount as he has filed paperwork on me for 1. A violation of federal banking, 2. Account by Deception, 3. Theft w/ the Supreme Court of California
I asked the officer for more info concerning the court, as we all know CA is a huge state/ the Officer refused to give me this info.
I advised to officer I will get info from my bank stating I never had funds transferred from any payday cash place ...Officer stated he didn't care and threatened me that I will go to jail, but did advise a fax #206.339-6518

I called my bank and of course have proof that no EFT (electronic funds transferred) was deposited in my account of the said date/amount
This is proof that this company is after free money if a person is not aware of what they are trying to do.

I have also received several calls from a man with an Indian sounding accent. He says his name is Adam Scott. Indicates he is an officer with the Bureau of Investigation. Says that I took a payday loan and that my credit score will drop, had the same thing happen a few months ago as well. Has anyone had any success with reporting these scam artists?

It's been happening to me for a year now and it hasn't worked so I don't know why they keep trying. A Local Detective already told him to stop calling me. I had this message waiting for me when I got to work this morning. Have no fear of these people and for God's sake, do not send them any money.

This message is intended for -----.. I need you or your attorney (unintelligble) to return the call. The issue at hand is extremely time sensitive. My name is Roger Jones. And Hotline to my division 661-240-9237. Don?t disregard this message, return the call. Now. If you don?t return the call or I don?t hear from your attorney either, the only thing I can do is (unintelligible words here) as the situation unfolds on you ___. Goodbye.

All the while trying in vain not to have a middle east accent (laughable try)

I hope these guys understand that they can call me all they want and it won't make up for muhammed being a pedophile and rapist with a God complex.

Same BS as Kel they are telling me they are suing for $6,800 and that I will be arrested and taken to court in California. They are rude on the phone and hang up on you randomly but keep calling me back. One claims he is "officer Victor Rich" and the other one claims to be "officer Adam Scott" Its sad but they have all my info too including my current address and emplyoer. The two numbers they use trace back to Bakerfield CA and San Jose CA

Did you call you local police dept.? The number traces back to Bakersfield CA I got a call from them today and had a few nasty words with them and they kept doing the samething with hanging up on me as well. I also talked to an "officer Adam Scott' and "officer Victor Rich" I am going to look up the local police dept in that area and maybe give them all call.

these people are calling me saying i'm being sued for 4082. and that if i don't pay it i will be taken to jail for 6 months, they are calling my work for information. told me they were going to call my work and tell them i have bad credit. told me my credit score was going to drop 65 points and fico score 45 points.  they told me i was going to be arrested and taken to court in california, i'm from iowa.  when asking them question they hang up on me, but they still call back he says his name is officer adam scott.  they have last four digits of my ssn and ask if it's right i said no they said what is it then, don't tell them anything. i called the police dept today and reported them to the FTC.
