There was a message on my machine. He said his name was ED Smith owner of RLS construction and asked for Jim to call him.

Just received yet ANOTHER call from Larry, "owner" of RLS construction, 661-310-3280.  As per their usual script, he asked for the owner (by first name, at least he didn't try to mangle the last name this time).  I informed him (as always) that owner was unavailable and asked how I could help him.  Received the same song & dance story, he said (owner) knows him and that is was business call and that (owner) would know what it is about.  Really wish they would give up, or at LEAST be a bit more creative.

First time they called, the owner did call him back.  As others reported, they are trying to sell sawblades, offering to send them out risk free, etc.  Of course, if you DO allow them to send them, they will charge you ridiculous amounts and I believe they will set you up for automatic shipments.

BEWARE...

Joe Smith called, as usual asked for owner by name.  Does not realize this is a small company and I run everything here and know exactly what's going on.  Told him "owner" not available to leave a message.  He left number and RLS construction and asked him what is this call in regards to?  He said, he knows who I am, I say I doubt he knows who you are and until you give me a reason for this call, "owner" will not be calling back.  He said fine and I will take my business else where and I told him yes, please do so, and I hung up on him. By the way, very rude individual.

Just got a call from Joe Smith with RLS Construction....asked for owner by name.  I asked if it is for a bid, he said no, I then asked what it was in regards to (becuase owner is not involved in day to day stuff) so someone else could help him.  Said he sent the owner a post card....I get mail and I'm sure it went into garbage....Could not find legitimate company on web but did find this site...

"Paul Smith, owner of RLS Construction" just called here for my boss...VERY loud and rude...Asked for the wrong person to begin with...Idiot.

Left a VM for the boss, but I could tell it was a telemarketer/scammer by the way he spoke to me AND all of the "boiler room" background noise.

What a joke.

I am just curious when Telemarketing Companies added aggressive protocol to their training manuals.  This man as well as others have been calling non stop.  If anyone finds out the companies' names please divulge it.  Harassement in the workplace is not acceptable whether it is your fellow co-workers or workers thousands of miles away.

Well now...as it stands this Smith guy called back by accident(probably forgot to cross us off his list) and I explained to him I made a comment here.  That he may want to check it out.  The phone was ringing so I hung up.  So he calls back again and wanted to know what I was talking about...I told him to google his own phone number and see all the comments on his number.  He then called back again and started this long drawn discussion...sorry my phone rings for important calls, I hung up.  HE certainly does not get it that I have more important things to do than to worry about HIS company because he called back again and spoke with our 3rd person who gets calls here and she listened to him (because she is a very nice lady) and when she hung up she was shaking her head.  Mr SMITH I am sorry but we are not called gatekeepers for the fun of it.  We have a job to do and I would rather catch your rath than that of me interrupting someone from getting something out the door on time because they took yours and a million other sales calls, now move forward and so will I!

Ed Smith from RLS Construction (?) asked for the owner of our company by name, which tipped me off something was up because anyone who know him knows he only goes by his nickname and not the name on his business cards.  When I asked what the call was regarding, he said he had to grab another call and asked me to hold.  While I held, I search this phone number and saw the other posts.  Eventually, the call just disconnected from his end, which is exactly what I expected it to do.

The person calling from the above number asked for the owner of the company I work for, by name. When I asked him what his message for the owner was, he avoided the question. I asked him again, and he responded very rudely, by saying, "Do your job!". Then, he hung up.
