661) 670-2616 calls me once a day, no one is ever there if I try to answer, but I usually just ignore

They are calling my cell phone. I never gave ASPCA my cell number, and I don't appreciate them trying to use it, although I do support them.

Just got call. I support ASPCA but don't like cold calls. Hint for cold calls coming to iPhone users - Set up a "Sales call" contact and add all cold calls to same contact as they come in. Block that contact on your phone. New ones get added as they come in.. Don't have Android phone but assume similar capability.

Same experience.  They are relentless and damn annoying.  Caller ID shown as ASPCA and the phone number is from Santa Clarita, CA.  Called my home phone many times during the past couple of weeks; sometimes two three times in a day without a word.

This number shows up repeatedly. When I answer no one is on the line and when I do not no message is left. Very annoying as they only call my cell.

STOP calling

I have received numerous calls from this number to my cell phone for the last couple of weeks.  I've never answered becasue it's coming in during the day while I'm at the office.  Where do these peopel come from?

While your donation was admirable, your willingness to give your personnal information was to say the least, careless...if you ever find youself inclined to donate again, do so annonimously, the intent is the same and you will protect your privacy, I find this practice to be quite mind-peaceful.  I hope you find this piece of advice useful.

someone called me and when I said hello hung up

They are still calling but do not bother to leave a message.

I got this call and the telemarketer was totally unprofessional.  She was eating something and much of her pitch wasn't understandable.  Also, she was calling for the Humane Society but caller id said ASPCA.  I Googled and found that Humane SOciety pays over 90% of the donation to the telemarketer.  Better to donate directly.

Called me multiple times per day for over 3 weeks. Finally called the back and asked to have my number be removed from their list. The representative told me he will place me on the do not call list. 661-670-2616

These people are scammers. They are NOT the ASPCA and they use harassment. Never leave a message. DONT give them your phone number to block. Block from your phone

This number calls relentlessly. I donate in person or via mail. I don't give my credit card over the phone. IF they aren't a scam theyve lost a donation with me because the calls are boarding on harassing.

Are they or are they not ASPCA. Time will tell. What I do know is that after Hurricane Sandy I gave them a very small donation figuring feet on the ground could do better than outsiders. Next thing I know I'm getting mailing after mailing after mailing to "renew my membership." I never joined as a member, just wanted to make small donation for emergency. Then I start getting mail from all kinds of animal organizations. Then I start getting mail from all kinds of New York charities. I haven't been to New York in decades.

Between credit card fees and the monthly solicitations they have spent more chasing after me than the $ amount of my original donation. This is just plain bad fundraising. Whether or not the ASPCA is making these phone calls I am still disgusted by this behavior and will never donate to them again.

Just received...didn't recognize area code...didn't answer...

It's not a scam, it is the ASPCA! pick up for the animals :)

How can some of you be so gullible to believe that 661-670-2616 is ASPCA? There is an SPCA in
Bakersfield where this area code resides but it's a different number to reach them. As some pointed out,
why wouldn't they leave a message if they were legite. Block that number if you can and if you feel
you want to donate to the ASPCA, google it and it will tell you how to make donations.

Glad I checked to see what this number was.  While I DO support the ASPCA, I do NOT support constant cold calling and then not leaving any type of message.  I have gotten calls every single day, sometimes twice per day, with no voicemail left.  SHADY.  I don't care if they ARE legit, THEY NEED TO BE PROFESSIONAL AND LEAVE A MESSAGE.

Don't like it.

These people calling on behalf of the ASPCA represent a genuine nuisance.  Any further contributions we make will be going to the local animal shelter or the humane society.

Got a call from this number with no message left - scam?

This number calls me several times a week. I don't no anyone in California, so I program my Phonetray program to shut them off.

I checked with the public relations department of the ASPCA and discovered that this is NOT A SCAM.  They do use a telemarketing firm in California for fundraising purposes.  Still, if you do not wish to receive their calls, contact them and they will gladly remove you from their calling list.  They are very responsive.  If you go to their website, you will find the contact information for the organization.

Got this call on 6/10 around noon.  Checked my voice mail, but no message.  I do donate regularly to ASPCA, so maybe they got my number off of a list.
