Called at 7am, rang 6 times but refused to answer the call. As above I have heard of this scam where if you call back then they charge you a heft sum of money - SOB's!!

It's darn right annoying though when your trying to do homework and your phone goes off from a prank caller. Especially cause then you start to look up the number and waste time you could be spending getting work done >:(

I got 3 calls from two numbers i didn't know. One was this one, one was (767) 275-9190.
Both have similar conversations.

They called me the other morning. I decided to look up the number and here it is. Interesting.

Got a call from this number this morning - it rang once, did not leave a message. Showed up as coming from "Montserrat", but with how easy it is to spoof incoming numbers, it could have been from anywhere...

Unless this call is from Nigeria and I've won an inheritance, I'm not picking it up.

Three days in a row after 10pm I'm receiving calls from this number.

Got a call from them just now, it rang once...I wouldn't call this back ...especially after reading these posts! AHH! Stay safe.

This forsaken soul called me at 8:36am EDT today first as an unknown #.  Then later today at 7:53pm EDT the location read Montserrat 664-412-0044.  I did not pick up either call.  I called the number back thinking it could be some family member of mine who is either drunk out of their effing mind at some vacation or business trip, or it could be some friend or family member who was kidnapped for ransom by pirates while on vacation or a cruise in the caribbean sea.  As some of you have mentioned, a computer generated female voice recording posing as an operator with funky techno music in the background picked up, stating that they are getting in touch with the person who placed the call.  This recording repeated 3x in a loop before I hung up.  So my advice is to report the number and not pick up or return calls...  Keep me posted.

Got a call from 664-412-0043 on January 10, 2014 and from 614-412-0066 on January 11, 2014. Both calls came at odd hours and rang once. You can report calls like this to the FCC at fcc.gov/complaints which I have done. It has to be some kind of scam. Maybe they get angry people to call them back and that person is charges big bucks for the call?

The number was similar but the last two digits were 68. Same thing though. Phone rang once or twice and they hung up but it was only 6:00 pm here

I was wondering if anyone has traveled abroad lately, say to South America? When I visited Chile, I began to receive the phone calls. I wonder if somebody is selling the numbers?

I got the call a little bit ago. I called back and usually I don't but I was curious and I stupidly waited on the line for 3 minutes 9 seconds. I'm seeing posts about scams all over and I'm really scared about how much I will get charged if I did get scammed.

This call came in at 6am.  No one there.

I got a lovely wake up call at 1:56 am last night from this same damn number. Scam all the way.

Was expecting a call from Mexico because some Mexican guy had found my daughter's lost cell phone in the mall and tried to set up a time to return it.  Then this call came in late at night, which I missed, and I can't return the call to the number.  Starting to all seem fishy.

one ring 3:34 am 1/10, called back and got recording "hold for operator"  i hung up right away.  talked to verizon and was told the # was forwarded to monserrat, caribean from southern california.  they even called the # and got recording  "not in service" they told me their fraud dept will look into it and blocked the # free which last for 90 days, after that they'll reblock but you must call them back.  there are no international charges for them forwarding the call internationally to or from your phone.   couldn't beleive it but verizon was very helpfull

This is a scam originating from Grenada (area code 473), Dominica (area code 767), Jamaica (area code 876), Montserrat (area code 664), and probably several other Caribbean islands.

Mine came with one ring at 10:42 last night (PST)

1 ring. Didn't answer. I recognize a couple of names who has reported this so I wonder if our numbers were hacked/related. There is a purpose to these. Wish I knew what it was...

Got a call at 5:13 this morning.  The phone was on vibrate and I did not wake up,,,,,,,,glad about that.
Good to know it was nothing important.

Called me at 7:01am.  I missed the call.  rat bastardos.

Call came to my house at 2:46 am.  664-412-0043   From what I'm reading here and other sites, it is generating from an 0041, 0042,0043,0044

Slept through it, so at least it didn't disturb me.  Looks like an automated call was sent out all over the US.  Reading here and other sites, the calls were hitting people one minute apart, starting at around 1:30 am.  Just great.  My phone NEEDS to be on through the night - it's my alarm clock, plus I have family on the road who might need to get in touch with me NOW.  This sucks if  these annoying little jerks are going to start disturbing us in the middle of the night.
