Called me once a few days ago...no message...called twice so far today...again no message.

To Jill- this number has been calling me for over a month, sometimes 4 times a day. They don't say anything, and it's really aggravating me. I looked up the number- Atlanta? I'm in NYC!

Got this call while I was on the other line. Surprise, surprise, some foreign sounding guy actually left me a voice mail. He said something I could not understand then said to disreguard this call. This number is either a scam or a telemarketer. Judging from the guy's method and voice, I would be willing to bet that this call is one of those Internet phone advertising scams where they get to say "yes" several times to record your voice then call a the Telephone Company's automated services ordering system to "order" new services for your phone number OF WHICH they get a large cut of. A friend of mine got nailed for $49.95 a month and it took forever to get it off his bill.

I have learned that if i don't recognize the number, I don't answer. Then I get on Google and look the number up... If it is important, they will either leave a message, or it will be a legitimate number on google.

Called me several times. I will not  pick up phone. Never leaves message.

678-229-5199 called and has called a couple of times before - it is 'Bay Area Credit' tho it is calling from the Atlanta, Ga area, and the woman was 'Sylvia' who called; not for me but a family member (does not live here) who gave my number as a (so Sylvia said) "a second number to reach (...)"  She would not answer any of my questions, but insisted that if I wanted ANY information, I was going to have to give THEM ...MY personal information.  I simply asked when did (....) give you my number?  I never gave anyone permission to use my phone number for anything.  But why Bay Area Credit...who called MY home, would not tell me WHEN someone gave them MY tele number..and then starts asking ME a personal question.. Harumph!

Received a call today at 11:56am from 678-229-5199. Caller ID shows Superior Asset. They were looking for someone who does not have the phone number they were calling. Received a 2nd call at 12:57pm. When I answered, they hung up. They called again at again at 1:35pm asking for the same person as the 11:56am call. I asked the caller to remove my phone number from their list and he removed it from the dialer. It's a dialer that is making the calls. If the dialer is programmed with an incorrect phone number info, you will get these types of calls.

Called twice on first day, four times on 2nd day.  Never once left a voicemail.

They called with a message for "Terri". No such person at my house. How did they get my phone #, I'd like to know. I'm also on the National 'Do not Call' list, so they shouldn't be calling my #.

They started calling me about a month ago. They called me twice and I never picked up because I don't pick up numbers I do not know. One time they left me a message saying that I owe money on my medical bills down south. I have never ever been down south and I know I wouldn't have medical bills from there. I have read on several sites they are a scam. Anyone know if this is true?

Got a missed call from this number about twice a month. They usually left me a message saying that the call is for (name), which happens to be my mom. I finally called them back today & they said my info/account was given to them by the American Emergency Response company (The Ambulance people). They then asked for my name, number, address, as well as my mom's info. I gave them the info, but they said they cannot find anything so they suggested that I ignore the phone call from now on.

This number left a two minute message of silence. I could here office noise in the background and I thought I could here the caller shifting in their seat, but they never said anything.

According to a friend, cell phone numbers are now public so we will be receiving telemarketing calls on them now. I *only* use a cell phone, and this number (678-339-5199) calls me constantly, as well as telemarketers. so you will not be safe, you'll only bide your time until they find you there as well. :(

I just recieved a hang up again, they have called consistantly for the last few months, I am rarely able to catch them and when I do they are asking questions i do not have the answers to. They refuse to take no for an answer so I just go: ya, uhn hunh ok yup  and then usually the call ends... in either case now that I have found out exactly what they are I will change my number .. I am wondering do I really need a phone, a cell phone that is!

I got a call from a bay area credit, saying I owed a bill for $746.00,
the woman was so rude to me it was horrible. I told her the first time , I would check with my insurance company which I pay nearly $1000.00 a month for insurance, I checked and I was covered. I am going to report her to the better business bureau, it was absolute abuse. I am a cancer survivor and had alot of bills at one time, but they are paid now. No one deserves to be treated that way.

Call me on and off as well... hadn't had any calls from them in awhile but in the past two days I've had them call me at least 6 times!  Always call had odd times also...like late in the evening, or lunch time.  Never leave a message, though I have had a couple of hang ups on my voicemail with a ton of noise and commotion in the background.  Extremely annoying!  I have tried to call the number back and it either just keeps ringing with no answer or someone does answer (after I hear a ton of commotion mind you) saying "Bay Area Credit Service".  Naturally I do not owe any money.  Also, when I called one night someone answered saying "good afternoon"?  Don't really get how that could be possible considering I am located in NY and this area code is supposedly Georgia?

Very frustrated...any idea how to get them to stop calling????

this number calls me a few times a week, and have been doing it for months.  I have asked them several times to stop calling, as they keep insisting I need to pay them for an ambulance ride despite the fact that I have never taken an ambulance ride.  Supposedly my number has been taken off thier list, but they continue to call and not leave messages.  whenever I call back to tell them to remove my number from thier list, i am told by a fairly rude person that my number is not even in their records and that I need to provide them a social security number so they can look it up, despite having called me at the number just a few moments earlier.  The call center is always loud and you can hear lots of commotion in the background.  annoying!

Answered call this afternoon (11/10/08). She asked for my maiden name, which I haven't had for years. I asked who it was, she said she was (her name) with Bay Area Credit. I hung up. I tried calling the number back several times and get the "off the hook" beeping

Called me twice already!!! STOP!! Seems like they're trying to collect a debt. I don't have ANY debts!
