Received this call on my cell, didn't answer, the voice mail was only a second or 2 long, no message. I called the number back and got a recording saying "Thank you for calling HOme Security, if you would like to speak with one of our rep....."

VitalCheck. They were calling to confirm a birth certificate order I had placed. Not a scam or collection call.

Then why are they calling me?  I have a TMobile phone but it's a pay as you go. No contract, no minimums. I've had it for years. And what I want to know is where are they getting my home phone number which is unpublished, unlisted, and on the donotcall.gov list.

I think it's time to write to my senators about all these calls that are coming in lately.

This is NOT a collection agency.  It is Vital Chek, the company is Lexis Nexis.  I got the call because I ordered a birth certificate online.  I have called the number back several times but it won't even ring and I missed the original call.

This was Vital Check for sure, and  like others, I had ordered a birth certificate, and it let me know that it had been shipped out and to check the website.

This is legit, so if you get the call by accident, someone must have put the wrong number when they ordered or the system was slow (mine will actually be here today, the message says to give it 24 hours until shipping info is available) when calling!

I got a call from this number @7;45 am wen i asked (not so nicely) why they would call so early the csr laughed @ me an hung up. the number on the caller id led to a dead end but the name on it was NEXUS LEXUS so i called thier corporate num an talked to a mngr who said that they were a legal research team out of dayton,ohio and couldnt find a reason for the calls then tried tellin me that it couldnt have been them cuz they dnt do that. so i referd her to this exact page w/ other ppl with the same prob as me an i eventually got hung up on AGAIN soo apparntly ALL YOU PPL ARE WRONG cuz lexus nexus "doesnt do that" they call again an im investing in a plane ticket to dayton an see how they all like gattin a rude awakening every day

I just got a call from them and didnt answer. They left me a voicemail and it said somthing about vital check or somthing like that. But i recognized everything else. I had ordered my birth certificate and it was them letting me know it had been shipped.

they called my cell phone number didnt leave a message   tried to return the call twice and no connection at all made     who in the hell are these people who even got my cell phone number and then no way to contact them back   what a scam ripoff

Got this call today and they left a message.  It's from Vital Chek records.  I ordered copies of my birth certificate through Vital Chek online, and this is their verification call.

Just got 2 missed calls at 8am. They left no voicemails. I'm in California.

Received a call from tis number, but I did not answer it.  Tried to call back no answer.  I am not a T-Mobil user and do not have an account with them????

This is a collection agency for T-Mobile and you do not have to have an acct in collections for these people to call. They are a fairly new service that calls when your bill is even so much as 2 days late. It's annoying because they fail to remember that their 8am is some peoples 5am.  A CSR named Toby told me "It's just our little scare tactic but we'll correct it for you".  Scare tactic?  Um...unacceptable. It's inappropriate and it's down right obnoxious. I told them I would file harassment charges against them if I ever get so much as one more call from that #.

This number from what appears to be a collection agency keeps calling my phone so I keep saving gas for when they call. And last time I put the reveiver up to my bunkey and tore a**. They won't be calling me anymore.

I had the same experience as Maxx. I answered the call and an automated voice system told me to hold for a Choice Point rep. After about 10 seconds I was never connected to a rep and the call ended. Two calls around 8am - answered both times with the same outcome.

Received a call from this number and when I answered a recording said please hold for a choice Point (I think that is the name used) representative.  No one ever came online so I hung up.  I always look forward to talking with some collection agency as I give them more hell than they need.  In the past the collectors would hang up when I answered or put the new people on the line to call me.  When I get tired of playing with them I send them a cease contact letter that stops them from ever calling me again.
