How did this individual get my phone number?
When I answered the phone, no one was there.
I tried calling the number above and received a message saying not a working number or something to that effect as I was not paying close attention.

I live in Marshville, but earlier today I received a call from someone who identified herself as Desiree and claimed she lived in Waxhaw, was looking for cleaning work and knew I had rentals. Doesn't make a lot of sense for someone from Waxhaw to call someone on the far side of the county at random to ask for cleaning work, so I asked who gave her my name. She wouldn't say; said she got it out of the phone book, clearly a lie. Said she was calling women because they would be more understanding of the problems she's having and kept wanting to tell me the sob story.
Unfortunately for her, she called on a business line that is not even a published number, and when I asked who gave her my name and number, she kept saying she got it out of the phone book. While I do have a different number listed in the phone book, the first name in the listing is a man's and there is nothing in the phone book indicating ownership of rental property, so she was clearly lying. Furthermore, when I asked where she lived, she gave an address of 1411 Tom Boyd Rd, which isn't even in Waxhaw.
When I asked for her last name, she asked why I wanted to know. I told her that I knew she was lying and if anything happened around my house, I wanted full information to give to the police, at which point she hung up.
By the way, this site needs another call type: casing the joint.
