I keep getting calls from this number and no one ever answers it. It's harassment and I want it to stop!

Lowes SCAM requesting social security number.

Told them that I was reporting them to the fraud division of the BBB and FBI.

Asking for $19? You are kidding right? Calling at 7:00 am ? Will not answer. I hope Lowe's goes out of business.

i never open an account/credit card with them... dont know why they called my 3x today....

they call your phone and dont leave a message so u dont know who they are, and when u answer they hang up

I kept getting calls from this number - caller ID was "Georgia". They called 4x a day plus a few times on my cell, including early Sunday morning, never leaving a message. I actually picked up a couple of times and told them to stop bothering me and they hung up, but didn't stop calling. I googled the phone number and got this page and realized "Georgia" was Lowes. My statement just arrived in the mail today and I saw that I missed a $75 payment last month - never received the invoice. I just got off the phone with customer service, paid over the phone for free and got the late fee removed. If the caller ID showed the calls were from Lowes, I would have picked up the first time and taken care of the situation instead of getting so aggravated with this "mystery" number. You'd think that I owed thousands of dollars and refused to pay for months! Lowes - you can't actually think this is good business practice!!!

I received several times from this number on Saturday Nov.6th, Sunday Nov 7th, and Monday Nov. 8th.  I answered the first call and got a person saying they were the credit people from Lowe's Lumber.  They asked for my Lowe's credit card number.  I hung up then; I know that Lowe's would not ask for a number they already had.  The calls are coming on my cellphone and Lowe's doesn't have that number.

They have called me twice today...  I did not answer it.

I do owe Lowe's a past payment. I tried explaining the circumstances;ie my mother's funeral expenses. Makes no difference what you tell them. They call me several times a day on my home phone, then immediately on my cell phone followed by a voice mail. I'm surprised that haven't managed to get my e-mail and harass me there. They'd get their money a lot faster if they'd limit their calls and would try to work out a plan.

AT first thought it was about my low credit rating so hung up thinking it was scam finually a real person with foreign accent who couldnot understand me nor I him some of the time answered. when asked for check info.. I decided something was not right and got off the line..so paid lowes online direct. it was odd they wanted only 58 dollars and used my business phone number which i dont like.. the promise of no interest no payment for 6 months must be bull..l may just stop using the card also... never got any notice of collection except by these calls .. let me know if sueing works

I feel the same way.  I owed them money, a little misunderstanding about their "Good as Cash" for six months.  Been getting phone calls from this number (Lowes), Said if I paid over the phone I couldn't use my VISA Credit card, but could use my debit card or banking number (sorry not giving those up over the phone).  So I told him (indian accent, annoying) that I would rather pay through my bill pay from my bank.  Did that for the full amount and even posted on Lowes online account the check was in the mail.  Now Sunday, I have received 3 calls starting at 8:00 am from this number (I refuse to answer since the check is in the mail and should be their on Monday).  They really need to check their records.  Also in conversation with the man he told me this was due on January 24, 2011, however, my statement from LOWES says the payment isn't due till Feb. 4, 2011 - is this someone committing fraud?  I refuse to answer, plus my bill pay through my bank states they will pay any late fee incurred due to payments arriving after their posted date - so I think I'm in the clear, however, nervous due to the large amount of horror stories to GE money bank related credits (LOWES Credit is through them).  Well see.

I see from the other posts here that the calls I get are from Lowe's credit services.  I'm 30 days past due on my account that I owe $120 on.  They call multiple times each and leave a message with nothing in it.  It's very annoying and rediculous.  We both know I'm late on paying.  I'll soon pay them off and never use their card again!

I received a call from this number today asking for a Dennis Frederick. When I first got my cell phone, I received numerous calls for a Dina Frederick, so I assume my number formerly belonged to these people. Convincing collectors, and others, that they've reached the wrong person can be difficult, though I was able to convince one collector a year or two ago. Today I simply told the person he had a wrong number, and he said okay and hung up. We'll see if that stops the calls.

SCAM - ANNOYING:   That number comes into my cell phone - 3X's a day.  i called back the number - as others mentioned they say they are LOWES Credit Services associated with: Old Navy, American Eagle, Banana Republic and other retail store names he could think of trying to make me feel like it may be something real.  I asked why they were calling me and he said he could not tell me until I gave him my full social security number.  Of course, I did NOT give my soc#,.... I said, so you are calling people and can not tell them WHY you are calling & he said he could not.  I said I do not think this is legal or appropriate and take me off your call list.  He said he would ....we'll see!!!

Y'all need to let them know that they're breaking the law if they call before 8 or after 8 or on Sundays and they can't call you at work.  Then sue the bejeebers out of them if they continue.

I just got a call from this number. I didn't answer b/c I didn't recognize the number, but when I googled it, this was the first number that came up. I just ordered something from Lowe's, but never put my cell number down in the order form and don't have a Lowe's credit card.

I DO owe them money and explained the circumstances and have paid what I could when I could...they are the ONLY ones to not understand this and keep calling like I'm miraculously going to grow a money tree.  They had on time payments for 2 years until we had an interruption to our finances.  They can keep calling -- I just pick it up and put it on mute and keep working...eventually they hang up.

I've never dealt with Lowe's. I don't owe them anything. But they keep calling. It isn't a wrong number because i answered one of the calls and
they asked for me by name.

If i call someone and they put me on hold? okay....
If someone calls me and the first thing i hear is "please hold" ? nooooo way.
