They called my office but did not leave the message.

I picked up, as they called twice in a row. Automated message, starting with the sound of a ship's horn, and trying to tell me that if I sat through a survey, I'd get "two free boarding passes" on some cruise. Stupid scam.
I just said a few obscenities into the phone and hung up. I occasionally get calls from other numbers with the same recording.

I received this number on caller id and do not know who it is.

I just got the same call about getting the Nassau cruise if I answered the phone survey which I did. Nothing asked for personal information so sounded OK. I stayed on the line after the survey completed and an operator came on to ask for my postal code and a convenient time to call me back. He said a travel agent would call me back within 72 hours to confirm the reservation. He then asked me to stay on the line to listen to some additional information and it spoke of the $59 port charge and to go to a website to confirm my information.
This is when I suspected a scam. Being a techy I would discourage visiting this website as they can deploy what is called a rootkit onto your PC that embeds itself in the operating system. It will not be detectable by virus scanner. I am not sure if this website does it but since this is a scam who knows. Essentially the rootkit will monitor your keystrokes when entering in passwords at banking or secure sites and send this information to another computer that is monitoring ... now they have access to your personal information. BEWARE FOLKS!
I did a *69 and the caller ID came back as 000-000-0000 so obviously a big scam!

Got a phone call stating to take a 10 question survey and you would win an all inclusive cruise trip for 2 to Nassau Bahamas. I answered the questions by choosing #1, 2 or 3. After I finished, it asked me to listen to an offer from one of their sponsors. It was regarding lowering your credit card interest rates. After it played the message, I was disconnected. I then tried to log in to the yoursurveyrewards.com and there is no such website.

I keep getting calls for the past three weeks from people saying that this number is mine and asking why I called them. My number's final digit is different from this one, though. I've tried calling this number myself and I get a message saying it doesn't exist. Please stop calling back, I've been on the phone with Sprint for half an hour today already just to have them tell me to call another number about possible phone fraud.

Called on 10/08/2007 indicating that I won a Nassau Cruise. Indicated that I could claim my prize after answering 10 questions. Questions were age group, home owner, cable or satellite tv, do you use credit cards, credit card balance range, etc.
Appears to be a scam. I hung up. The questions did not appear too personal and did not ask for income level, name, birthdate, etc.

Automated call. Answer survey questions and get free cruise. Sounds like a scam to use your line to make long distance charges on your line.

I get over 50 calls a month from all sorts of scammers and or telemarketers. Over a month ago I bought a 'Privacy Call Center' from 'http://www.digitone.com/' and it's incredible. You can list all your friends and love ones numbers and even a specific area code and prefix to allow, and they will ring and pass thru unobstructed. All others will be asked to enter an extension number of the party they want to speak to, and then will be disconnected. It catches every single unwanted call. I've had 30 days of peace and quiet. Our number ends in a 0001 and it's obviously a big hit with these bottom feeders. I don't work for digitone and this is strictly an unsolicited testimonial. Good luck!

Caller ID said pcs phone. I didn't look at number at first because I thought it was my husband. It was a recording message saying they were doing a survey and you could win cruise tickets. I took the "survery" and it said it would transfer me for the tickets and then it hung up.

called my house i called it back and it rang busy
| mw 2007-09-24 18:09:57 Unknown |
Generally calls that ask you to press number keys are a scam that enable the caller to make or possibly charge long distance calls to your phone. At least that what Pacbell said years ago.
| Dani 2007-09-24 13:20:46 Unknown |
funny - they called me at work. When I called back they said I didn't have enough money in my account to pay for the call but if I gave them a credit card I could upgrade now. Sounds like a scam to me not a collection agency.
