If you receive this call it means you have entered a time warp back to the 90s.  They will ask if you received a yellow phone book.  Promptly inform them that you have not and you need one rushed to you immediately so you can call your broker to buy some AAPL and GOOG.

America does not need phone books when you have all the technology these days accessing the internet.  

Thats what I thought but the older people and many more still prefer using the phone book. When my company receives calls I will ask how they got my number and about 1/2 the time they respond the phone book. Believe me I wanted to stop advertising in it for the reason you stated, but decided not to because of loosing business.

Called from this number on 7/16/13 at 11:41A.  caller ID said, "SDDS, Inc #4."  i did not answer and have no business relationship with this company. I am on the Do Not Call list.

Received call from  # 678-730-2680 - caller: SDDS, INC, #4. Caller was female (young voice). Wanted to know if I recieved the Yellow pages phone book sent out about 2 weeks earlier. I looked round and said no and that they may still be on the way. She said they should have been delivered by now and asked whether I wanted them sent. I asked whether they are a complementary service from the phone companies and she said yes. I  told her that if it is something we had to receive, its ok to send it. She confirmed that I wanted them sent - on hind sight it looks like she needed to hear my "yes" -  and she did and also confirmed my address.

She ended by explaining that call is just to make sure that their drivers are doing their walk!

Don't recognize caller

have called several times would like them to stop!!!!!

I opted out of receiving phone books (because every number I would look up would be out of service, so what's the point), and still they call to ask me if I received one? Should I answer yes, because I received exactly what I asked for (nothing), or should I say no and then the poor person on the route doesn't get paid???

SDDS,INC,# 4 called at 12:18 p.m. and asked same question whether or not we received a copy of yellow page. They got my new address in order to send that book and she was getting my husband's name with my name; that was very strange, why would they need our first names and last names. Unfortunately i realized that afterwards when i already hung up the phone. Nobody needs such a call anymore, internet is minute away and people like me should be more careful giving away personal information (not to mention that being nice to the unwanted caller can bring unnecessary problems).

Yes these criminals called my cell to ask if I got a yellow pages. And YES calling a c,ell is againstf the law

That SDDS-Inc just called me and when I said Hello..............THEY HUNG UP.  This happened at 10:52 a.m. on July 24, 2012.  I wish they would call the White House instead of me.  Because of people like these (whoever they are)  I may shut my volume off and only use my phone to call out .  Remember......don't call me.......I WILL CALL YOU!!

Received an unwanted call on June 26, 2012 at 5:07 p.m. I did not answer the call and they did not leave a message. I have caller ID.

Just received a call from this number. Caller ID said SDDS, Inc. #4. It was someone asking if I had received my new YellowPages phone book. I said yes and she asked for my first name, which I gave her, and she said thanks and told me to have a nice day. Not sure why they needed a first name, but she didn't ask for any other personal information. I've gotten phone calls before (always on a landline, never a cell phone) asking for confirmation of phone book delivery, so I think this is fairly regular. Like someone else mentioned, it probably helps them determine if the books were actually delivered.

A person should always get paid for work being done.  I opted out to receive the phone books and they still delievred them to my door.  They are now in the recycle bin.  America does not need phone books when you have all the technology these days accessing the internet.  Good luck to those who delivred the phone books to get paid.  We don't answer unknown phone numbers.  But it is annoying when you sleep odd hours and unwanted callers interrupt your sleep.

This number keep calling me, I do not answer no message.  CID says SDDS.  This is a telephone book distribution company.  Probably want to know id I got my load of telephone books I never use!!

called a business..stop calling

I got scammed into passing out these phone books for Christmas money and they require an 85% positive response from these phone calls before they will pay you.  They use a Comdata card to pay you with and when I just tried to spend some of the money on it, I found out the balance was zero.  It does seem annoying and intrusive but when people don't respond, they use that as justification to not pay.

Same here. Asked if we received a Dex phone book, then after I said yes they proceeded to ask me personal questions. I hung up on them.

They called this morning to verify we had received our new phone book at our business

Sounds like a telemarketer.I just got a call and they hung up. I noticed, since I signed up on line last week for some free give aways, the calls started coming in from different numbers. I just add them to my cell phone, as "don't answer" so if they call again, i know it isnt anyone or anything important.I hate that they use my cell mins.I thought the "do not call list" was suppose to take care of this? I re-signed up for them.Let see. Their number is 800-382-1222.
