So I had a message left for me at my job to call this number and speak with a Anthony Goldstein.  I called and he stated that I had taken out a online payday loan a couple years ago through a Summit Group.  I asked him for an account number and at first he gave me a 7 digit account number that didn't match any of my original account numbers.  Later he transferred me to another lawyer in the office and he gave me a different account number.  Turns out the account number matches the account number to one of the payday loans I am paying off right now through a different firm.  When I told them that they refused to accept that payment and said that I would have to pay them instead.  I called the firm I was working with and they tried calling the number to talk to these guys and they just hung up and then when she did research on their phone number all that came up was a lot of information on payday loan scams.  What frustrates me is that they threatened me and said that there was going to be a felony warrant out for my arrest if I failed to set up a payment arrangement with them even thought I am already paying it off and making my last payment tomorrow.  The amount I took out was 250 and they are trying to get me to pay twice that amount.  I have a lot of health issues and these guys caused me so much stress and anxiety that I slipped into a panic attack and that is not good.  They never gave a company name to their company either just their names.  Kind of fishy itself!!!!!  If anyone has any ideas please post something here.  I think it is illegal for these individuals to threaten you

Oh please have fun with them!  There are laws put in place to prohibit them from speaking to you that way.  Thank them for making you rich when you file a lawsuit!

They are calling me for a loan I paid off 2 years ago.  It's fun..I snicker and laugh because if they want to sue me, they have to prove I owe them money.  And once they try that, I can sue them back for harassment because I have the proof I already paid.

Furthermore, in my state, it is illegal to do a payday loan, and now that I know that, I know they won't ever get a dime from me anyway!

The number is calling me and stating that I owe a debt of 300.00 to a company called JD Marketing Group. They are stating I got this loan back in 2002 and they have all my personal information. They called and left a message stating they where going to file fraud charges against me and everything. Then after that had some guy claiming to be a lawyer says he is going to file the charges. Then had some lady call me last week and left a message on my phone telling me I better contact them a.s.a.p. or else and saying good luck. Then sent a letter to my job stating I better pay them by 6/01/12 or they are going to file charges against me. They are some really nasty people and these are Americans these are not Indians.
