claims to be debt consolidation.  Told them I was on do not call list - they hung up.

These people call several times per day, looking for "owner".

Shows up on caller ID as "Lose Weight".  Does not leave messages.

Caller ID says "Weight Lose". Recorded message is selling a wireless home security system.

I answered the phone and pressed "1" and got connected to a live operator. In the past, as soon as I've asked for information about the company behind the calling, I got immediately hung up on. Today, I pretended to be interested in the pitch and gave some bogus contact information (name/address). I was then told that someone from customer service would be calling me back.

Less than a minute later, I got another call. The caller confirmed that he was calling regarding an offer for home security systems and that he was calling because of the previous call. I let this second caller go on with his pitch as though I was interested. Eventually, I asked about the company and was told that he represented Pinnacle Security ( pinnaclesecurity.com ). I grilled the guy a bit more about who the previous caller was and was told that he thought their lead gen vendor was a company named "Elevate", but I couldn't get any more information than that. I asked for a supervisor's name and got: Spencer Sorenson 1.888.217.2550 x20556. At that point the Pinnacle Security guy hung up on me.

I've filed a complaint at donotcall.gov as my number is registered there.

Someone selling home security system. I am on the DO NOT CALL list so this call is illegal. They need to be prosecuted.

Received a call - no message left - but after reading the posts here, I won't be answering if they do call back.  And I'm on the Do Not Call list also!

First off I wanna apologize for the languange I dont have much information in here mostly just a post out of anger because of the annoying existance of callers like this.  I missed a call from them and googled the number and found all of this on several different sites so im glad I ignored. Everyone should sue them for harrassment and suspicious activity ppl arent stupid. Why the hell do they have my  cell number anyways shady pieces of sht get a real fckin job like the rest of the world its already aggrevating enough without fake a** ppl in it just being stupid. Im sure they will read this because they have nothing better to do with their miserable existance so just know that anyone that looks online knows how fckin fake and hopeless you are n u call from north dakota cause theres about 45 ppl that live there and no one is there to assassinate you and make life a little easier on us all go buy call of duty or something have a life and quit calling people that hate you

Just received a call on my cell phone from this number and they left a message on my voicemail!

With regards to ELEVATE conducting these calls, we do not and have never had any association with  a company called Pinnacle Security.

In addition to this our clients are the most prestigious business-to-business companies in the world and only deal with other businesses and never consumers.

As you can appreciate there are many companies that operate under the name of ELEVATE and THIS IS A CASE OF MISTAKEN IDENTIDY.

We have also contacted Pinnacle Security to advise them of your concerns.

It was a rep at Pinnacle named "Chris" who identified your company as their leads generator.
Other people on 800notes.com have uncovered the same information.

If your company is a different one from the "Elevate" that gathers and provides leads for Pinnacle, then you need to get that other "Elevate" to change their name. That would solve the mistaken identity problem.
Your website states: "Our people are experienced, tenacious and extremely resourceful at hunting down quality and qualified leads."
Evidently, there are two companies named "Elevate" that operate in the same business and at least one of them is illegally using autodialers to call cellphones.

get the persons full name if possiable by pretending ur interested and let them pitch.  then tell them if they continue to call that you will google them or facebook them find out were they live  or send the police.  you can also tell them its a company phone and the company will pay to find out who they are. you can also block the # through ur phone company

Morons called my cell phone TWICE in less than an hour.  I told the second banana that if I didn't bite on the first call, I certainly wasn't going to by on the second - unless we could work out some "favors" here.    I proceeded to ask him if he had shapely legs and did he look good in drag....

For some reason that ALWAYS get an immediate disconnect.   Must have something to do with that tiny penis syndrome.  Small mind, big mouth, rude behavior, tiny penis -they all go hand in hand - pardon the pun....

I did enjoy the recorded message about how "crime was WAY up in MY area..."  and that WE needed an alarm system.  

I hate to disappoint them, but I bought a .40 caliber handgun many years ago and haven't had ONE single individual try and break in my home as of yet so that I could find out if the maker was right about dropping the target on the first shot.  Not to mention that I have had a Bissell carpet cleaner tying up my closet space for almost the same amount of years waiting to see if it was really up to the challenge of some really TOUGH stains.  

I figure if they break in and don't die from being shot, or shot at, the cleaner will come in handy for removing the brown stains left by the would be burglar as he "shat" himself on the way out.

Been getting calls from north dakota, this numer and also this one:701-625-5758. no msg left no nothing. then i went to the national do not call list. I signed up years ago and forgot untill now. it was effective untill 2/9/2011! so i re-registerd! yay! https://www.donotcall.gov

A few days ago I received 8 phone calls in less than 4 hours from various numbers and caller ID names.  All were for this same "stuff".  The last 3 calls got an earful from me, not that it did any good.  But I sure did feel better for a few minutes.  I called the BBB and all they can do is take the information down.  Yet, with all the different names and information, how can you pinpoint the real culprit.  

Has anyone had any luck stopping these yet?  If you have, please share with us.

Same call, ignored. Companies can use sequential dialing software to contact you even if you register on a do not call list, (701-625-5001, 5002 etc). They can also be programmed to dial by zipcode or they can use illegal Spyder software to extract contact information from online websites where people make purchases online.  Social networking sites may also share your information from groups you join and have third party sharing agreements you might have acknowledged without thinking such as games or other networking applications.

I have been getting these calls every single day.  There are at least 3 or 4 different titles that come up on caller ID.  I have pressed option 2 (to be removed) only to be hung up on.  I have pressed option 1 (to speak to the "nice fella" who is on the recording.  It is insane and I am fed up.  Been on the DO NOT CALL for about 8 years now.  That seems to be a big joke.  I get calls all the time.  I just tell them "Can you hang on one second please, I need to grab a pen" and then I set the phone down by the radio, TV speaker, anything that is loud and obnoxious.  I think we are all going to have to get used to the calls.  Noone seems to be taking any action against them.  So, speakers will be on especially annoying music.

Recive calls once a day that ask you to press one, on my cell phone which means they are using up my anytime mintues! I asked them to remove my number from their list, they just hung up. I try to call the number back and it states all circuts are busy

They called me too.  Hung up when I answered.

I signed up for a free google voice phone number.  It is a local number and you can give it out to everyone.  Then you can have google voice forward any incoming calls to your home phone and/or cell phone for free.  Also, they have a call block function so you can make it block such numbers.  It had some very nice features.
