I've been getting these calls for months - on both my home phone and cell phone.  I finally answered one robocall positively until I reached a real person.  These companies are marketing companies selling all kinds of things from all different phone numbers. You apparently have to speak with the person from the company, specifically ask them to put your number on their do not call list, then wait 30 days before it becomes officially illegal for them to call you and for you to be able to report that call to the Do Not Call Registry with the FTC.  It seems almost pointless to go to all the trouble to wait to speak with a pushy sales person at EACH phone number from EACH marketing company that calls you since it is a computer that calls.  You aren't really annoying anyone because you don't reach a real person for a long time, and so  these companies can still call and break the law.  Who's going to catch them.? So I decided to either just answer and disconnect as soon as I see one of their numbers OR wait to speak to a person and then blow a very shrill whistle in that person's ear.  I'll do that if the mood strikes.

"Tom" has been calling me for months. He has used several different numbers, all from different area codes. (701, 603, 425, 925 etc..) I'm looking forward to his next call. I'm very annoyed. He is probably wearing a headset. I have a VERY loud police whistle. I also have an even LOUDER air horn. You figure it out.

Automated call about reducing interest rate on credit card.  When I got a real person, and told them I had pushed 2 to remove my number, he hung up.  Cannot reach by calling back.

This number is always some one wanting to lower my credit card percentage.  I always pay off my credit cards at the end of each month.

Listen carefully how it says the same sentence, with the same pronunciation and the same words each time. It then listens for keywords you might say. My current strategy is to say "Please hold" and put the call on hold for a while. I just hope this will run up his time and delay another call to the next victim  for a bit longer. If everyone does that, the "success" rate of this bait call should drop below an acceptable level and whoever is running this despicable scam will soon realize the stupidity of it.

If these people would put their efforts in finding the cure to cancer, we'd be in a better world...

I will cut the call every time I'll get one, I will never answer calls with numbers I do not know.

Phone calls every day sometimes almost twice a day from 701-661-1006

THEY CALL 5 TIMES A DAY AND I KEEP ASKING TO TAKE ME OFF THIS LIST, BUT THEY RETURN.

I'm from the Bay Area, and they called me 20 times. I called them back and  pressed 1 so they would stop calling me. But they  still called and so I was very direct and I asked " are you calling from North Dakota?" The guy said Los Angeles and then I said have a good day and I hung up. Checked to see where he was really calling from and sho 'nuf, it was the same phone number from North Dakota. Even after I requested not to be called, they still called me. And yes, the person  who I talked with  was trying sell me a home security system of some kind. So stay clear of this number and what ever company it is. It's harrassment if you ask me!!!

All of your comments are right on! I've been receiving calls form this number for several weeks, several times every day and each time I have asked to be removed. Their reaction is to hang up immediately.  called the number back and the only recorded message is that "if you want to stop receiving calls about their company's specials press 1. thank you". No company name, no other option to press. When you press 1, they hang up on you.

There needs to be some way to stop this kind of harassment if this "company's" phone number removal system doesn't work. Any have ideas for legal options?

They call me ALL the time. It's so annoying! So far three times today! 11:29 AM, 1:51 PM, and 4:48 PM. They need to stop!

Thanks for the info on this #.  These guys are calling me 3 times a day starting at 9:20 in the morning.  I'd like to get the name of the company just so I can make sure I never do business with them or anyone related to them...

This # calls about 5 times a day with an automated voice, "Press 1 to accept this call" ... But then immediately hangs up if you don't press 1 fast enough. It calls every hour from 9 to 1pm. Even if you press 1 fast enough, there is a short silence and then it hangs up with nothing to say. Somehow it got wind of my house and cell phone number. The house phone's caller ID registers a different number from North Dakota but they ring at exactly the same time every time they call. I was able to block them from the house number using a free block feature from our phone service provider. Unfortunately i can't do the same on my cell phone. The only remedy I have is to save the number on my cell and create a silent custom ringtone for it so it won't bother me as much. When I find out how to retaliate against this I will post more info.

Been receiving calls from this company several times a day for seveal weeks - Never leaves a message.  I finally answered and it was someone trying to sell a security system.  I asked why they felt it necessary to call several times a day and I was going to go to the police and file harassment charges against them is they didn't stop immediately.  The guy at the other end of the line hung up immediately.

annoying a** bi*** keeps calling me every 2 hours, didnt bother picking up

I answered the call since I got tired of them calling me so much and I answered they said they wanted to give me an alarm system and i said please do not call anymore and then 3 hours later i get the call again

They call me every two hours! I got a call at 9:24 this morning then another at 11:38, then at 1:48, just got my 4th one of the day at 3:58. I'm getting really tired of this...

I have been called by this number 11 times in the past two weeks and i have specified that i want my number on the do not call list thank you

8/9/11: Keep getting phone calls from this number with no message left. I won't answer until I know who they are and what they want. Based on what I'm reading here, I will never answer so, just give it up guys.
