Most of these calls are from authorized dealers of one of the major alarm system companies (ADT, Monitronics, Vivint, etc.).  These companies perform "free" installations of security systems conditioned upon signing an extended monitoring contract with the alarm system company.  The dealer is then compensated for the sale by the alarm company.

These "authorized dealers" are permitted and encouraged to advertise aggressively under the alarm company's banner, and are notoriously abusive telemarketers.

Many of the calls are actually automated - the voice on the other end is a sophisticated computer that masquerades as a live representative.  They are careful not to reveal the company's true identity until after you have been "qualified" as a sales lead, if ever.  Properly prosecuting them requires answering the call and "feigning interest" long enough to get a live representative on the line and convincing that person to admit who they work for.  Sometimes it is necessary to go as far as making an installation appointment and photographing the installer and his or her documentation.

Same problem as most people, I have all my phones on the do not call list for years and they keep calling me on my cell.  They call telling me I have won a home security system.  You can file a complaint on the do not call web site if your number is registered, I don't know if it will help, but if they get a lot of complaints may be it will!!

This number just started calling me today along with the 866 number for the correctionl facility I too am on the do not call list but I still get these calls all through the night and day and it is really getting on my nerves.  Arkansas

Got a call from this number on my cell phone but they didn't leave a message.  I'm wondering how these people got my cell phone number.  I didn't answer the call; didn't recognize the number and no message was left.  Anyone who knows me would know to call me at home first before calling my cell.

They call me at least 2-4 times per week and when I call back I never get anyone.  I want it to STOP NOW!!!!!!

Called in the middle of a staff meeting, I silenced.  They left no msg.  I tried to call back and got "All circuits are busy".  Similar call last week from 701-920-9331, same message when I try to call that number back.  
Two strikes they're out - I don't have time for this.

I love the people who post comments here like: "..how did they get my number???"   Well - they have an auto-dialer and it just starts with an area code and the first possible phone number and goes UP one number at a time.   They don't buy lists of numbers or anything like that, they just start dialing for dollars.

What you have here are baboons in cubicles - not intelligent life.  I got my first call from these morons this evening - and they were trying to sell TAX DEBT RELIEF - imagine that?

I guess there must be a few suckers still out there so desperate that they would PAY these morons THOUSANDS of DOLLARS in FEES for stuff they could do themselves for FREE.  

Most of these companies have telephone equipment that allows them to put fake numbers into their caller ID system to make all kinds of bogus numbers show up on your home caller ID display.  This keeps their REAL numbers from being found out - and helps keep the FTC from finding them easily.  BUT - if you have your number on the DNC List and you report these baboons each time they call from one of these faked numbers, they have the equipment to BACK TRACE these baboons and prosecute them.  Balls to you, baboons!!

Personally, I wouldn't pee on one if it was on fire - I'd just sit by and watch it burn....and if it looked as if it were about to go out, I'd pour some kerosene on it and keep it going.   The best $3.60 I may spend all day.

And also another bunch of cretins from 402-201-2770, a debt collection company called Riverside Homes.     They don't have any idea who they actually called, but that sure doesn't slow them down.  Guess I should enjoy and encourage them to waste even more of their time calling us so they aren't bothering other people who actually owe a debt.  
However, I was about ready to unplug our telephones until we needed to make an outgoing call after numerous calls from their # above; then I discovered I can turn off all the ringers....  Good lordy, it's going to be quiet at our house from now on !

Just so you know, when they call me it's nothing about debt releif.  It's a machine that says "Do not Hang Up" then something about you and your family are eligible for a free home security system.  Never heard a human yet.

This number as well as several others keeps calling with a recorded message. To a point where I'm being harassed, it's 4 or 5 times a day, all from different numbers but the same recordings.

I keep registering the numbers as complains from DoNotCall.Gov but I don't think it's going to help if the numbers keep changing.  When I call back ready to go ballistic it's always either "all circuits are busy" or a message from Verizon saying the number cannot be dialed.

Once I tried to dial 1 like it said to speak to an agent and then it hung up on me.  

Whatever this is I do not think it's a company at all and whoever it is needs to be arressted.  Normally I won't answer the phone when I don't know the number but I'm currently a job seeker and am always waiting to hear about jobs.

I'm in Washington state, but this is a relatively new cell phone number. I haven't given this number to any companies, only to a handful of friends. Whoever this company is, they must be dialing random numbers in order to reach me.

Got a call from this number when I was in a meeting at work (between 4:30-5pm) They called 2-3 times right in a row but never left a voicemail.  If you have an android phone (or similar phone that handles apps) great one is Call Control.  I bought it for $7.99 and it works wonders on blocking these scam artists!!!!  They get through one time and one time only on my phone, the rest of the time it's a automated pickup and hangup.  Absolutely love that I am dishing it out right back at them!!! :)
