Same deal as above posts. Wanted to pay by certified check to buy my Akita pup today and arrange for pick up later. Whole thing sounded suspicious...

I have also received a message from this person.  I told him not to contact me again and he sent a text saying there was a mix up about the money and that he over paid for the pup and to send him back the difference.  Seriously, how obvious.  Is there anything that can be done about this?

Got a long text for the sale of my Himalayan kitten. Said his name was Mike Andra. said he was from Nevadi and would sent a certified bank check..when I asked for info he said. For my family ..broken English sentences..I said this is a scam..he replies insultingly ..what's with you? I said I only accept us postal Money orders and I needed more info. He then backed off and said he was having trouble with the bank. He acted like I had insulted him. beware

Also got  a txt from this number about puppy ad. They wanted to send a cert bank draft, and arrange for pick up of puppy. The Bank Draft will be forged, and the puppy long gone when the bank takes the money back. Seller BEWARE!

Got txt from this & 2 other numbers from strange places responding to an ad I have listed for puppies. They are trying to scam people & end up wasting your time for a few minutes until you start to get suspicious. The text messages look as if they are being written by someone with broken english, not bad spelling,  they just don't use proper sentences. They will say things like "I saw your ad and will like to buy your puppy". They won't give info about where they're located when you ask & seem to want to get you to give info. to them so they can send you a "check". Watch for these as I believe it's a huge scam with lots of people involved trying to take advantage of people.
