Decided to answer because no one else is home, but I usually don't pick up numbers I don't recognize, especially when they're out of state. Heard a robot say "Hi, this is Sarah" and I hung up.

This number, and others (203-608-5003; 201-4210; 818-870-9111; 818-870-5085;916-219-8127; 702-444-5656;323-429-7533;AND OTHERS) call me ALL THE TIME.  If I listen, they usually say either they are calling from credit card services and want to talk to me about how I can lower my interest on my credit card; or that the warranty on my vehicle is about to expire (if they can warranty anything on my 1992 Oldsmobile, maybe I SHOULD talk to them).  There should be a law against this.  I am charged for every incoming call on my cell phone.

Most of these annoyances are Internet phone calls costing the ID Theft almost nothing to make, and the employee you get to talk to is on a great commission/reward if they can get a piece of your personal data...

They have a great data base, and keep adding to your information file...  Some try to sell you a car warranty, others to collect an outstanding bill, others want to complete a survey to win a trip but what they are after is your name, bank account, credit card, address and most of all your social security number.  They use the phone sales, survey or bill collecting as a ruse to get more data to engineer your ID theft...

If this criminal organization is able to get your information they can, and will sell your home out from under you, or place a large mortgage on your property...  Max your credit cards, and empty your bank account.

http://heatherwithaccountservices.com/

This link may have a millions of complaints - I can only hope this is not owned by the criminals clearing house in league with the data miners/ID thefts...
http://800notes.com/

www.callercomplaints.com/Default.aspx

Phone ringing again it is probably another ID thief (data miner) masquerading as a telemarketer calling my Cell Phone as this one did...

These scam artists are looking for older people & the gullible to fleece in the US, and other wealthy nations. These callers want to steal more than a few dollars for a car warranty, or a free trip to Mexico or Boston...  I believe these ID thief's actually have nothing to sell, and many of these off shore ID thief's are using a great amount of numbers from America and Canada's ?Do Not call List? as their prime phone directory...

I believe many of these ID mining calls are internet software phone calls, that are continually using fake numbers unrelated to the actual caller.  I have received calls from a Fire department in Ohio, Greengrocer in LA, and a Planned Parenthood phone number in Atlanta.  This week, I have a gotten phone calls from a dry cleaner in Michigan, several disconnected numbers and Chevy dealership in Fresno California.  This is all I needed to confirm more than 50% of the phone numbers used by telemarketrs are fake phone numbers used by their automated computer telephone dialing system...

This is no longer a local, or state wide problem, it is a national problem, the systematic fleecing of Americas & Canada's defenseless population, age related or the clue-less/gullible...

These con men are after bank accounts, social security numbers, address and account numbers! They want to sell you a fictions item, and gather your personal ID, so you will be penniless when you wake up the next day.

Every time you get a phone call record the number, and send a weekly written letter with all the numbers that have called you; please send this list to your State Attorney General, and both your congressional representative and Senator and please do not overlook your local Television investigation reporters.

I do not believe anyone has a real understanding of the size of this illegal fraud, but I would guess there are very few people not receiving the car warranty calls, carpet cleaning, or winning a free trip, that is only the tip of of the problem. We need a special task force to stop this high tech destruction of our communications service moved from lip service to the front burner for some action.  Federal Law enforcement needs the tools and funding to take some action to stop this destruction of America & Canada's communication services, and stop the fleecing of our citizens.

I no longer have any patience, with these fraudulent companies.  The owners, principals and their stockholders need to be burned at the stake in the town square...  Their company & personal assets need to be seized and everything liquidated to reduce the taxpayers bailout obligations of other fat cat criminals courted by a few elected officials...

Wives, family members and relatives are responsible to make these law breakers stop violating the laws, if they want to protect the assets they enjoy, or hope to enjoy.

giving your number to them to have your number removed might not be a good idea... it might be like replying to spam. once they know it's a real email address that address becomes more valuable to sell to other spammers. if you have caller id and you see the same or similar number, just don't answer.... most times they don't leave a message.

Telemarketer
I selected the #1 prompt this time to speak with a rep as if I were interested in reducing my 'current credit card's APR'.  I acted interested but skeptical and asked for their web address so I could take a quick look while on the phone.... he began to direct me to the BBB website :)  I then got acchelp.org from him which is a non-profit credit counceling service based out of FL (they were very helpful and apologetic and wanted any update possible to see if this company was one of their 'lead providers'.
I'll keep digging and will contact my local Attorney General and State Rep. as EVERYONE should do with these type of issues.  That is how our system is suppose to work... but if there are not enough calls than they handle what the press 'squeeks' about!

Yeah...you don't want to fill out one of those again, or anything online unless you've dealt with the company before.  They sell that information to anyone who will buy, which is usually scammers.

Whenever a telemarketer calls from a real phone number (rare), I fill out a bunch of those forms with their number, for schools as well as other things, diabetic supplies, free scooter chairs, etc.  Once I even found a website for a scammer that had called.  It listed the CEO's name and number and a corporate address, so I signed him up for free samples of adult diapers, to be delivered to his office.  I wish I coulda seen that go down.

I pressed 1 and the minion asked "Did you press 1 to reduce your credit card interest?"
I responded,
"Aren't you supposed to state your name and the company you are calling for?"
She hung up.
Definitely a scam to take money from those who obviously can't afford it.
People who work for scammers like this have no excuse- they are parasites!
I hope they get a taste of their own medicine, sooner than later.

The number removal recording when you call back the number is fake.  These "account services" jerks follow no law.  All they want is a credit card number so they can charge you for their nonexistant services.  They've also called me on another number, 702.705.5026.

These people are relentless. I think the company name is "Castcor". I had a guy call me some time ago from the same area code and exchange (Las Vegas), sounded like he was stoned and was telling me about my "overwhelming credit card balances". All of my credit is paid off (no thanks to these dorks), so I ignored him. He sounded irritated after that. Yep, real classy bunch over there.

Answered the call, listened to the message, then when a CSR came on I informed her that I wanted to find out which credit card they wanted to lower my interest on because I recently paid off all my cards and cancelled them. Immediately after I asked this, she hung up. I am also concerned that this may be a scam.

Automated message stating this was the last call I would receive about the status of my credit card.  Instructed to push "1" to talk with a representative.  I pushed "1" b\c I have received this call over and over and over and. . . I wanted them to stop.  Identified themselves as "account services" and they could lower my interest rate on all of my credit calls.  I started asking questions, and all that the male would say was "I work for Account Services, and just need your credit card number to verify your balance and standing" to determine if we can assist you in lowering your credit card interest rates.  I continued the questions, and he hung up.  SCAM!  BEWARE!

3rd for me!  I'm so tired of these people hanging up on me.  When you call back the message says "press 2 if you do not wish to be botered anymore."  I have pressed 2 six times already!  I'm really tired of this.  Anyone know who this company represents?
