Just like all attorney's you are just trying to make a dollar.  You know as well as I do that they cannot recover a dime if they cannot prove that an agency or collector violated FDCPA, and then the maximum for a collector is $1000.00 so quit blowing smoke up their a***s.

Ask one of your friends, or relatives.  Someone you know has either created a debt using your information, or your information has been stolen.  Most of the identity thieves around are usually relatives with bad credit who use yours to get what they want.  If a debt is listed to a sixteen year old then his parents are liable if one can prove that the debt was legally owed.  Obtain original documentation for debt, see who signed the paperwork.  If a hospital bill, parents are liable if you had the work done.  Agencies do a job that nobody likes but is necessary.  Most people hate collection agencies, but refuse to blame themselves for their bad behavior and bad judgement.  YOU made the debt, so PAY your debt or face the conditions that YOU caused a creditor to take.  It is your fault.

First of all, Aargon Collection Agency is in no way a scam.  They are a licensed in all 50 states for collection agency.  They have offices in Las Vegas, Missouri, Colorado, Honolulu,HI, and Florida.  They only call once per day, not repeatedly. While it is true that you can stop the calls,  It does no make your debt go away, it simply moves it to the next step.  This next step may be closure, or lawsuit depending on the client.  There are laws that regulate agencies and most collectors do not violate them.  All calls from collection agencies are usually recorded so if you are gonna lie about them make sure that your "lie" is not on tape.

Not to 1st call from this number. Computer recorded message 1, 2, 3, 4, 5(press 5 if you do not know this person), 0 to talk to someone.  Pressed 5, but calls still come to this number.  Beware! collectors are persistent because they work on commission.

If you are being harassed by collection agencies we may be able to help. There are statutes that regulate methods collection agencies can use in attempting to collect debts. Some of these statutes allow consumers to recover damages, have part or all of their debt forgiven, and even recover attorney's fees. For more information contact Jeremy Kespohl in the Jax. I guess my turn has come again; it's been over a month since they last intruded.  This scamming Las Vegas collection agency makes frequent recorded calls, in violation of Federal law.  No one in government cares.

AND DUDE SAID, DO YOU KNOW HIS NEW NUMBER. DAM I SHOULD'VE GIVEN HIM THE NUMBER TO THE PRISON.  LOL. BUT  I SAID NO, AND HE JUST HUNG UP.  IF THEY TRY CALLING AGAIN, I'M SENDING ONE OF THOSE LETTERS.  CAN'T WE CONTACT THE BBB OR LABOR BOARD OR SOMEONE ABOUT THEIR BUSINESS PRACTICES?

I'm not a lawyer, lol, but I'm pretty sure that a written request in needed to stop calls from this number. Simply telling them to stop calling isn't enough. I'm not sure of the exact way to go about it but if you google it, I'm sure you'll find the answer!

my husband got a call and they asked him for my phone number. they did not identify themselves, when i called the number i got a recording asking me to leave my name and phone number.  we are eoderly and have our own private insurance.  both our phones are cell phones,  this is very alarming to think that just anyone can call you on a cell phone,.what hapened to privacy.  i have my cell phone on a private number but my husband doesn't. this is scary and is very worrisome to us. why can't somethng be done about these people?  we have never been to las vegas and have no intention of going.  some really good computer hacker should find a way to jam all their cummications to people they don't know. if they call again i will report them to the federal communicaations under the right to privacy act.

Call them.  It's a debt collection agency.  If you call them back and ask them who they're trying to reach, they'll tell you.  If it's not you and you don't know the person, just tell them.  They'll take your number off their call list.

This is yet another recorded call from the fraudulent collection agency known as Aargon or ACA.  They seem to have considerable influence with state and Federal agencies, since they are never stopped from these illegal activities.

These people have tried to call me on my cell.
I have downloaded "Numbercop USA" it blocks all calls and is free!
I don't get them anymore.
Again, as others have said 3rd part cannot collect. I know these are from a Nev hospital who sent me a huge bill saying I wasnt insured. When I proved to the hospital I was insured and had given my info at that time. They dropped my chrages. BUT...they had sent it to credit already. Make sure it is NOT on our credit info, if it is..make sure you let the credit burue know what is going on, and they will take it off!

sounds like these guys are terciary collectors... i do have unpaid medical bills here in fla but they are from HERE IN FLORIDA. I've never been to nevada. i've been to arizona... when I was, like five. And the company that collects for the local hospitals here is Medical Data Systems! I used to work there, so I think I'd know!!! anywho, one of you said that the bill was possibly from a deceased mother who went to facility in 1999!!! 7 years is the federal statute of limitations for bill collecting. it's may be difficult to tell if it IS a scam because LEGITIMATE medical collection companies can't tell you what you were there for. they often do have insurance depts in which the worker (with insurance certifications) has access to the procedure/reason for going in order to properly bill the ins company (not you). however, the COLLECTOR who calls you should never know your medical information per the HIPPA laws. if they tell you that you went march 23rd 2007 for a blood transfusion then they are in violation and/or someone has your records and is scamming you. what the collector DOES have is your social security number, DATE of visit (sometimes time), birth date, and the address at the time of the visit. Some billing information will have a department that gives away an approximation of why you were there. I'm not sure about Las Vegas, but in Florida collection companies cannot sue or file a lien in regard to medical past due bills. But a florida company can sue nationally any state that does allow that sort of action on behalf of the hospital so long as the hospital was in a state that allows it. there are also some states that require that they have licenses in that state in order to even call on behalf of the state in which the debt was accumulated. anyhow, refer to the FDCPA (Fair Debt Collection Practices Act) both federally and on the state level before you talk to them. They will try everything to get you to pay. I find this system that these guys use to be highly unethical... hanging up on you when you press one! my name (1st and last) are very common! this is rediculous, i bet that if you'd never get a person they'd try to serve you to get more money or something. scare tactics are unreasonable and i don't appreciate feeling like the cia is tracking me down!!

I did ask these people for written confirmation. The caller then became very rude and hung up on me. He said they were collecting a 12 year old utility bill from Ky. Imagine my surprise when I discover this company is located in Nevada-I live in Minnesota.

I received a call from them today and they promptly hung up. If this is a collection agency for UMC they have a real problem. The last and only person in my family to be in UMC was my mother. She passed away in 1999. So I am about to fax these idiots a not so nice letter.

It is Aargon Collection Agency aka Aargon Agency Inc. A stupid Las Vegas collection agency who concentrates on medical bills. Most of these bills are bogus but they do concentrate on UMC billings from the Univ of Las Vegas Med center. Unless you have a recent charge from UNLV Med center you are probably being scammed. Send a cease-desist letter as is free from Budhibbs.com and also demand written proof of the debt. They wont respond and you can sue them if they continue to call. Dont listen to any of these CAs who want you to pay them without providing any proof of the debt. Aargon info is address 3025 W Sahara Ave., Las Vegas NV 89102 and phones 800-326-7118 and 702-220-7037 and fax 800-293-9395 and 702-220-7036. Fight back!
