Addendum:  A few minutes after blocking this number I received a call from 571-389-8585 which I believe is the same caller.  Both numbers are from the Arlington, VA area.

This number is not valid.  I tried reporting it on the FTC complaint site and got an error message that the number was not valid.

The DNC works just fine. It is for telemarketers only and honest business does indeed abide by it. It is the criminals (which includes illegal telemarketers), frauds and scammers that do not.

The DNC filed complaints are used by all agency's. You can also file complaints directly with the FTC & FCC as well.  The fact remains that they are not automatic call blockers though and can not protect you from the calls that are criminal, illegal or fraudulent.

Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $60.00 or so.

Was called by this number today, and left no message, we too are on NO call list...it doesn't work!!  Don't know who this is. Also have gotten one with an 031 prefix, twice today!!  Again, no message, and can't trace.  Try to call back, and it says it isn't a good number.

Caller ID said "name not found".  Answered. They said something about card services.  I hung up

Missed the call, left no message.  I'm too on the no call list so CID picked up this phone number.

I am on the no call list, but still get these calls.  When someone is on the other end, they say they are not selling anything, but by the time they get done they are.  The no call list does not work.
