Something about renewing my car warranty(i dont own a car)

A voice recording when i picked debited something about this is the second time that i was called about my expiring vehicle warranty (the closes to a vehicle i ever owned is a BICYCLE, gift from a friend!!!) and asked to press 1 to speak with a representative. I so did and a man came on the phone after a little jingle and "thank you for calling customer; please stay on the phone and a representative will help you; this call may be monitored or recorded for quality purposes". He asked me if i wanted to know more details about the offering.
After i told him that i just wanted him to know that i'm going to report this number as a scamming and phony one, he started justifying and defending himself that this is perfectly legal and he knows what he is doing, on which i hung up!

My wife and I got some call from this stupid number yesterday...when you try to call back it says the number has been disconnected...hopefully it has. We have been getting vehical warranty calls for 6 months now....anyways, I noticed it was from Virginia, and I have a lot of friends in Virginia so I called it back to get that message.

Apparently a number of us were scammed at the same time.  I am getting such calls from varous area codes about once a week.  If I don't recognize, I won't answer.  Do some cell phone companies offer a block option?

I got some call from this number 1-703-257-0175 yesterday, when I called back a recorded message stated,  this number has been disconnected. I have been getting vehicle warranty calls etc. I hope this not another scam since spam or scam blocking went in to effect a year or so ago, more underhanded illegal business junk can't get away from it on the internet or mail box but calling me at home is ove the top.

Suggestion to anyone who receives a call from this number SCREAM IN THE RECIEVER.

Yes, but i don't know if any of you noticed this, but this call comes from other numbers as well. Other area codes from states all over the U.S., so if you do get this call, then regard it as a scam. (It's some what obvious when they call you with different numbers about the same thing, when you don't even hava a car...)

This number has called twice and hung up.

I tried to complain about this number to the Federal Do-Not-Call web page but the system responds "We Are Unable to Accept Your Complaint.  The phone number 703-257-0175 was registered on October 08, 2008. Companies may call you for up to 31 days after that date."

Is this a loophole?  Keep registering new numbers, and be free to abuse people for 31 days?

We have received calls from this number and others regarding our renewing our car warranty.  Very annoying!

I was clearing out numbers on my cell phone and found I had received a call from this number on 10/09/08. They left no message.

I've gotten at least 3 calls on different days over the past week or two from this number.  I didn't answer and there was no message.

Got one at 2:45 EST today. Disconnected number.  What service do you all use? I'm on Alltel.

This is ridiculous. Someone from around there should push in their door and destroy who answers.

Whoever is the telemarketer has hi-jacked the phone system with fake caller-id information. The Google searches and phone book look-ups are the (former) owners of the telephone number that the telemarketer has abused. After a few hundred call backs and complaints, the real owners of the numbers are forced to disconnect their phone. The person's name that one can so easily look up has nothing to do with the illegal telemarketer.

I get this telemarketer scam call two or three times a week, and I just now got it about 5 minutes ago.

I signaled to talk to a rep. When he schpieled me, I calmly asked, "Which automobile company's warranty does this concern? See, I have two cars..."

The young man paused, obviously flustered--he's a terrible liar; I doubt he'll last long at this outfit--and said "This company is Warranty Specialists...Would you like to take advantage of your warranty before it's too late?"

I persisted. "You're from a subsidiary, or a sub-company of one of the auto dealers I purchased my cars from?" I asked him.

He said, "Um...yes."

I apologised, politely, and then told him to please read to me the information he had on hand about my warranty, so that I could find out which car it was referencing.

He answered, sheepishly: "This would be in reference to the one you bought after 2005". The old shot-in-the-dark technique.

After this point I told him that he was a worse liar than me...and that it's awfully plain to tell that there was no such information--and this would have been obvious, EVEN if I was NOT someone who had NEVER BOUGHT AN AUTOMOBILE in her life, nor even driven one...

Just got a call from this number.   I googled it and here I am!
Don't care what they wanted + don't want them calling back!

received call from this # on my cellphone, I could not answer was tied up with another call, no message was left by the calling party call i called from another # a woman answered, then hung up...I called it from my cell# with called ID blocked and received a # disconnected recording... HMMM

Just got a call from this number as well at 3:06pm PST, on my cell phone.  I didn't pick up!  So annoying!

I got a call from this number today too, on my cell phone. I looked it up and it's a residentiall number from an address in Virginia on Quail Run drive. It lists that three people with 3 different Hispanic names live at the same address. Who knows why they are calling? They don't leave a message.

Rec'vd call on my cell. I don't pickup when I don't know who the caller is. No msg left.

Also left a 1 second silent voicemail.
Ignored it and googled the number and here I am... glad I didn't pick up but I hope it doesn't happen again...
