calls numerous times a day! Who;s number is this?

My firned and i get calls from this number around the same time in the past few days. I haven't answered, but she has and there was no answer.

caller id comes up NRA and they hang up if you are not the person they want to talk to.  been calling for 2 weeks now, daily and we want it to stop.

This # also occasionally shows up on our caller id (among many other 'unknowns', which is how I came to this site - by searching the #'s on Google.  But I have a comment about Colin Hanna above.  He is a real person.  He was one of the county commissioners in the county in which I live.  He's probably one of the most honest politicians out there.  He's not feeding you a line of bull.

Several calls from this number, when I answer there isn't anyone there.

I've been gettin this call for the last few days now.  1st time I didn't answer.  2nd time I did and got a political recording.  Today I was left a voicemail of a recording from Sam Goodam (SP?)a republican prick if you ask me and it's getting on my nerves because I work all kinds of hours and don't need to be woken up every night.

This number tried to call multiple times while I was at work today, left the same, cut-off, automated message each time - something about a "constituent survey", but gave no specific names.

Came up as "FISERV, INC" on call ID, if you call back it's either busy or rings forever with nobody answering.

Received the same political call.  Not sure who since it was cut off.

While you are under no obligation to provide us with contact info, how would you feel about having someone call you several times a day, for more than week, and leave the same message?

Also, why would I provide my phone number to an unknown person on a Web page?  For all we know, you could actually be a telemarketer trolling for numbers.  Although, if you receive a number from anyone on this board willingly, it's business related and your organization has carte blanche to use that number as a legitimate contact.  Either way, the person giving out their number is now on another list (most likely more).

Hi, everyone.  I am Colin Hanna, President of Let Freedom Ring.

Here's the story:  Our organzation did retain the services of a vendor to make automated calls for us -- in two states, Pennsylvania and Maine, on one day, February 10th.  The purpose was to ask people to call their Senators to ask them to vote against a bill.  So ... if that's what you're trying to figure out, then it may have been us.  ("May have" because the same vendor may have placed calls to the same states on the same days for other clients.)

However, if you're trying to figure out who called you on another day or in another state, it was not us.

I don't think that it is ethical for me to reveal the vendor's identity when they were retained by someone other than us.  So here's what I'll do: pass your number on to the vendor and tell them that you asked to be taken off their list.

Now, if you are not satisfied with that, and want to threaten to sue them or something, then you're on your own.

I went to their website and submitted a comment on their Contact Us Page.
I told them I had no problem calling them several time per day just to ask "how are you doing?" until they stop calling my number.

The call I got was an abortion survey.  When I said no I would not contribute to them it didn't get pushy.  So I'd rather not get these calls, but I guess do-not-call doesn't apply, and I have no problem with it.

Anti gay survey.  First question is whether you believe that marriage should be between one man and one woman.  Goes on to ask if you care whether gays are destroying businesses etc. to advance their agenda.

Two surveys currently from this number.
1) Mike Huckabee complaining about Obama
2) Religious group complaining about ACLU taking religious freedoms away

In either case, they will not, and unfortunately do not HAVE to due to current laws, stop calling.

Some sort of political poll. They leave a message saying this is a 60 second poll or something, and then when they don't get a response they say they'll call back.

They call during dinnertime.  Annoying!  I really don't like pollsters.  Guess they got a bunch of money from the govt!  They need not call here!

Do not call registry doies not stop polititions calls to get your vote.  they wrote the bill that way so they could still call us even if busnesses can't.  Nice of the politicoes isn't it?

Rec'vd my first call tonight on a business line on a Sunday night - left no message.  Thanks to all that have posted.  I will avoid the call.  They are not required to follow the do not call registry (too bad).  Interesting though, I read 4 different sites regarding complaints.  Sounds like the fix is in....if you don't answer the way they want you to they hang up or move on.  Now that is politics for you....same as it ever was. Let's agree to all call the 703-236-0488 and try to tie up the lines if at all?
