Came up as Triangle, VA.  Didn't and won't answer so give it up.  

The Same SCAM as listed above, a very forceful a-hole who read his script. After I informed him who I am, and who I really work for, he hung up. This is that scam that you hear about on the TV. They broadcasted this on our local TV Station. Avoid their call, and Do Not send any money. If you feel the need to donate. Contact one of your local organizations.

Keep calling me several times.  I never answer, but it's just so annoying.  The caller ID says Unknown, so I know it's not a legit call.

Four ways to handle these types of calls:
1. Don't answer numbers you don't recognize.
2. Answer and blow a very loud, ear-splitting whistle into the phone or speak an unknown language like many of the idiots they hire speak. The first option makes 'em hang up much quicker and makes them think twice before calling back. Whatever you want to substitute as painful to the eardrums or downright annoying, just be creative. Have fun with it!
3. Just answer and before they can say a word, just say NO, then hang up. Rinse and repeat. If there is no audience on the receiving end, they will eventually give up in frustration. This wastes their time with no return on their time investment so it's kind of like supply and demand.
4. Report them (combine with as many options above as you wish).

Me too! Just reported the # to Nomorobo -- great service I've used for several months now!

Just received call from this number.  Caller ID "UNKNOWN".  Did not answer and caller did not leave message.  Based on notes here (thanks!), have sent the number to NOMOROBO.

Call originates in Trangle, VA.Name comes up as Steve Wright. Forwarded the number to my cell from my land-line and blocked it using truecaller. Nifty little app. I recommend it to anyone having problems.

Wow, for someone who doesn't care and has such a wonderful life that you aren't bothered by illegal and/or nuisance calls, you sure put a lot of effort into looking up this number and posting here to chastise everyone who is bothered by them.  Thanks for your rant in favor of letting these people get away with whatever they want, but I think I'll follow my own lead and report them instead.  If you want to continue to listen to your phone ring all day and half the night and simply ignore it, please feel free to go right ahead.

another CRIMINAL call from this CRIMINAL organization.  Reported to FTC for prosecution.  suggest other victims also report to FTC with request to put them out of business.

Have answered this number before.  Looking for donations to charity that probably is non existent.  Did not answer this time.  Not going to waste my time or energy listening to a scam!  Suggest you domthe same....IGNORE THEM!

Have received several calls from this number.  No messages.   Just ring and hang up.  Being on the Do Not Call list, was supposed to stop ridiculous calls!

Phone rang. Checked Caller ID. Didn't recognize the number.  Didn't answer.  Done.  No muss.  No fuss. Not much time taken up with nonsense.  
Didn't pick up to let the caller(s) know that it was a viable number. Didn't listen to find out what accent was used or what the purpose of the call was.  Didn't care then.  Don't care now.
Didn't get upset if the DNC was adhered to (I'm on it but scammers, who don't follow the DNC guidelines, will find ways to get around it) or what Obama is going to do about it.
I have a life and instead of getting bent out-of-shape, morally indignant, cursing and slamming the phone down, and making this a big deal (instead of the small irritant that I choose to make it), I move on with my life.  I'm in charge of what takes up my time.
That's just what I do. Simple.  More power for me and for you, if you follow my lead, right?

P.S.  The DNC IS working; otherwise, calls from legitimate charities, political action  
        committees, annual fundraising, and other businesses that ARE following the
        guidelines would be calling, also.

Unfortunately, when our esteemed lawmakers enacted the Do Not Call List, they exempted charitable organizations, whether legitimate or not.   A case of trying to please everyone and ending up pleasing no one.   Political-based groups are also exempt.    Perhaps we should pressure our elected officials to revise the List.

Called today. ID was "Triangle, VA." Didn't answer, left no message.

Fake police charity.  I answered and nearly hung up because no one said anything.  Then when they do, they start off by telling you that the call is being recorded.  I interrupt and say, "Good, record that I want you to take me off your calling list, I do not donate via telephone and here is my number **********."  Then I hang up.  Bet I get another call.  

Callers asking for money. Will not take no for an answer.

That number called our house at 6:31 PM tonight. I also didn't pick up and they leave no message. Many nights around dinner time, calls come in. Sometimes I forget and answer. I don't remember what the beginning pitch was. I hung up. I am on the do not call list. Why can't this list actually work?
