Got the call at 10am and let the answering machine take it. Of course they hung up.
One thing I have to say is ever since I donated to the Make A Wish Foundation my life has been a nightmare. I found out they sell names or lists of names to everyone. I  counted 36 yes 36 different calls from every charity you can name. cancer Society, march of Dimes, MD society, Lions Club then the branches of them such as the Breast cancer, Colin cancer, Heart assoc. etc. Now I am getting this stuff too. before I donated to them I got maybe one call a month, now its 10 a day and if its a charity the do not call doesnt pertain to them. So warning...do not donate to that group.

No, no, no need to disconnect your home number. Just buy a whistle or air horn and keep it by the phone -- you know what to do, right?

Pushy guy with Belfast accent claimed that my wife had provided him with most of the info he needed and just wanted me to finalize. I politely explained that I had no idea who he was or who he represented and wasn't about to provide him any personal details. After several attempts he shouted an obscenity at me and hung up. Really hope that there is a special place reserved in hell for these scumbags. I attempted to call back and the number was disconnected. Fake caller ID, wow...

Life is too valuable to waste it on scammers & creeps. We just let the answering machine run 24/7. Most of those idiots don't leave messages. We just use the caller ID to turn them in to the Do Not Call Registry when we have some free time.

Company continues to call my home #.  I am close to disconnecting my home # - so tired of all the telemarketer calls. We are on the Do Not Call Registry, but it doesn't work - they continue to call !!

This had overtures of those "Nigerian" scams you see on "60" minutes.  I just lost my husband, so suffice it to say, I was in no mood for a moron calling me...what an idiot.  When I asked him to identify himself, he wouldn't, told me it was regarding a credit card, but wouldn't identify which one, his organizatiohn, and after I raised my voice, he told me it was "becasue you're scared."  Several of my friends called the number, including the police department (so if you're reading this you dumb a**), you will get caught eventually.  Of course, it was disconnected.  I just feel saddened and angry that he will pray on older people (those with cognitive deficits or just good hearts).  I got news for you buddy, you mess with my mom, she'll have you for breakfast, lunch and dinner!

They called my home. I had a friend over and told them I couldn't talk. They kept on being pushy so I asked to take my number off their list and hung up. He called again a couple of minutes later and I called me a "bi***". He was really creepy. He called a third time, but I didn't answer.

Caller ID is not their real number.  Tried to call back to identify company, and the number is disconnected.  This one may be difficult to get stopped.

This number called my house and I informed the man on the line that I did not have time to talk at the moment. He hung up called back a minute later and said "do you have time to talk now? B**ch!" I told him the company was probably recording this call and he said "oOo I am so scared b**ch!" I got the number from my caller id.

Called me this afternoon and said they saw I have student loans, credit cards, etc. and asking me to join a program (I assume to consolidate).  I told them to take my name off their list and not to call me again because it's none of their business what I owe.  Then at 6:39 tonight their number was on the caller ID again, even after I told them not to call me anymore.

Thank goodness for caller id - they won't leave a message, either.
