Got a call from (828) 929-7805 with the exact same spiel. He told me his name was 'Jack Stevens' so I told him my name was Tammy. (shh! My name's not Tammy! ha) They're basically randomly calling numbers with 703 area codes because HAD I ACTUALLY entered a contest (at the brick and mortar stores I know I AVOIDED during the holidays), he wouldn't have had to ask my name.  Bad liars.

These offers can be scam or legit. The legit ones are hard-sell presentations (timeshare, travel club membership, etc. for many $thousands) that you have to attend to get your winnings that are loaded with so many gotchas that many people walk away rather than redeem their winnings. The scam ones take your money and you get nothing. Stay away. Not worth the trouble.

I got the same call as well. On Friday morning at 9:18 I answered a call from 703-531-8491. I was told I won one of four prizes, all the same as mentioned in the above post. A man with an Asian Indian accent asked if I was the owner of thecell phone number he called. I answered (I had bought something at a store I hadn't used before that did have some kind of promotion running in December). He asked if Iwas in a relationship and was I older than 37 and under 64. He then said I needed to provide a passw ord to claim the prize that my partner and I needed to collect at the same address list above. I was asked if I made more than 1300 a week (so I could pay to maintain the escape).  The supervisor I was passed to asked the same questions. I didnt answer and he asked if I was comfortable and I said no. He hung up.

I was contacted by 703-531-8491 and a man told me I was a prize winner.  He said I had entered some sort of give away in December and I had the opportunity to win one of 4 prizes.  They were:  1-a 32" sony LCD tv, 2-2500 cash, 3--Three nights and 2 days in a hotel in either Las Vegas or Orlando or 4--a brand new SUV.  He said I would need to go to the Holiday Inn of Georgetown 2101 Wisconsin Ave, NW, Wash, DC  20007.  He then made me repeat the address.  He then told me I was going to have to hold on for his supervisor.  I asked what company he was calling from and he said "Premier Concepts".  He then transferred me.  After being on hold for about 3 minutes, I hung up.  He then called me back.  I didn't answer the phone, but he left me a voicemail that said--"You are an a***ole".  Really ??
