Cell phones will not help you.  I only have cell and they are calling me non-stop too!

I let the answering machine get it.  Left no message, Called number and I gotten the message that the number is no longer in service and has been disconnected.

Called me twice, left no message. Didn't recognize number, didn't answer.

Called today but I answered to a dead line.  One way these guys can make the caller ID show a disconnected number is an interface to the telco called "PRI".  That's a high tech telco connection intended to connect to high tech PBX equipment.  The customer can program in any calling number that it likes and the telco just passes it along to the network.

It's kind of like computer viruses that pick a name out of the infected computer's contact list and use that address as the "from" address when the virus spreads.  That way recipients accuse the wrong party and it is harder to detect the actual infected computer.

I received a call from them on my unlisted cell phone.

The telephone # 703 539 6016 calls my home # at least two or three times a week, please help me to stop this call.  It is a recording, no human person on the call.

This call was from a telemarketer without a name on the caller ID.  They left a message offering information concerning an emergency medical alert system for seniors.

These calls are very annoying,.  I am on the DNC list but nothing seems to block them.

Multiple calls from this number. Recording . . . If you are a senior - etc. Call back to them indicates number is no longer in service. Currently have home phone forwarded to cell. Home is "supposed" to reject calls from unidentifed numbers.

This company just called but did not leave a message and does not have any name on the called ID.

Simon is absolutely correct about the DNC List.  Only thing I'd add is that I am convinced that telescammers use the DNC List as a source.  The honest telemarketers (if there are such things in this universe) will obey the law.  But the crooks and creeps have nothing to lose & the DNC list is a gold mine of info to them.  Best defense against all telescum: don't pick up on any number you don't recognize as friendly!

This number has been calling my cell phone as well and I am on the Do Not Call list.  I just don't answer anything unless I know the number.

got a call from this number but when i answer no respond. i called back got a message that the line is no good.

They called me today.  I let the call go over to voice mail and got an automated message.  I tried to return the call WITHIN THE MINUTE and the number was out of service.

It's just a method they use so you can't call them back.

Not sure what we can do to block these calls.

I keep getting calls from this same number. Have answered once, and told them to stop calling. This did nothing. They just keep calling, and I just keep not answering. Any normal person or company should have gotten the clue!

Recommend Verizon voice services such as do not disturb (DND), call block, call forward, etc.  The DND is great and even allows you to add up to 10 numbers of your choosing (family members, friends) to call you even with DND activated. You can set a time when you want it activated.  Also the call block feature is really great, however, you can only enter 10 numbers, but you can always switch them out.  Eventually the same number stops calling you after you remove it from your listing.
