Received call from 703-656-9960 caller ID displayed"marketing."  Did not answer.  Robo caller left a prerecorded message for final expense burial insurance.  Called number back to be removed from call list.

National do not call list has failed me again.

Reading other messages - and knowing the scams on cell phones - my advise - if you are not familiar with the number do not answer.  They have found a way to collect personal info off your phone when you answer or call back - you do not have to verbally give out info - I know from personal experience they got bank info which may have been a surprise to them because the account was 'small'.

I just started calling them back and hanging up when some one answers the phone.I have no idea what they want. they have never left a message.

What is the point of reporting this if nothing is done. I am a victim of identity theft and if this is a collection company for a debt we don't owe and are working with the company to solve this (the company knows it is not us) why do they continue to call. They say nothing when I answer so I don't even see there purpose in calling. Who will run to pay a bill they owe just because someone calls and says nothing? Seems kind of stupid to me.

Fleabag debt collectors. They called me all day and into the night and either hung up, or there was no one the line. If you tell them not to call anymore they MUST stop. If that doesn't work send a letter to: Encore Receivable Management Inc. -- ERMI -- 400 N. Rogers Road, Olathe KS 66062 with proof of delivery. If they still persist report them to the FTC. I did and voila no more calls. Most of the calls originate from Manassas VA and they use several different numbers. The "manager's" name is Ben.

They call all the time at random hours of the day. Caller id reads "ERMI"

they continue to call me everyday at the same time some times up to four times a day. Today they have called about 7 times.

These idiots call all The time, my home phone number is only 2 weeks old.  We pay our freaking bills and when I answer the idiots hang up.  The one time they didnt, they said I needed to pay my bills....which I do.  Apparently, someone had my number that didn't pay their bills and I am reaping the pain in the A** BECUASE THEY DIDNT.   According to my search, it is E R M I...  WTF is that?

Yup, they are a serious pain.  They have called me several times, looking for the former owner of this house, who did not have this phone number.  I told them that they moved, and gave them the info as to how to contact them, but they continue to call me.  I give up!!

THese really are pain in the a** calls!  I get them all day on my cell phone and at home.  I just stopped answering the calls.  Thank God for CALLER ID!

Yep I know the feeling they call all day it has come in under ERMI and now the number 703-656-9959 now comes in as Manassas VA like changing the name is going to make me pick up it's still the same people one number off. I have never recieved a letter from any collection agenecy named ENCORE which is what they go by.

These people call my house all day. I am so sick of the phone ringing. They hang up and call from other numbers. I'm sure there is something we can do about it.

This company has been calling every day for a week.  They keep asking for
some else.  Have told them not to call again.  This does no good.How do we
stop this.  Actually called the number back and talked to someone who would
not give her name.  After telling her not to keep calling she had the nerve
to ask for my social security number!!!!  This company can not be legit.

I get anywhere form fifteen to twenty calls a day from this company. Most of the time they just hang up. I have asked them repeatedly not to call my home. I almost got my number changed, but it would be more of an inconvenience to my friends and family than to them. This is really sad because i'm a single mother that works two jobs. I have a tenager with an anxiety disorder and the repeticious calls all day everyday has presented a huge problem for her. I have retained an attorney and am working closely with her counselor at the children's hospital. They have ----- up this time.

get many calls daily... will try to get a person on line then tell them to hold for the person they want then lay phone down..check back once in a while... see how they like it

They call several times a day. I work nights and have turned the phone off. VERY ANNOYING!!! ARGH!!!

Guess I'm in the same boat as everyone else on here.  This number calls all day long from 8:10 am to 8:55 pm.  I don't answer it and I've gotten to the point that I've turned off my answering machine.  The way I look at is, my phone is for my use.  So I can call out for whatever I'm needing, not for the masses to call me.  Guess I'll try logging this in on the Do Not Call Registry and see what happens.

703 656 9960 belongs to Encore Financial. I recieved a call on my answering machine. The call went like this...This call is for_____ _____.If you are not ________then please hang up. If you continue to listen to this message we will assume that you are __________. They continue to give personal information of the person. I called them from my caller ID. Talked to a guy. Told him that I was going to report him for giving personal information out. I am going to report him to the Do Not Call Registry and the FBI and any other Federal agency I can.

As everyone else has said, calls all times of the day and night, no answer & no message. Maybe the companies they are supposed to be collecting for would be interested to know that they are paying for people to dial numbers and make notes and never talk to anyone or collect anything!

Have been receiving calls everyday for months starting at 8:30 am going to 9-9:30 pm. Counted 12 times in one day alone! Never leave a message, never anyone on the line. Caller ID comes up as Out of Area and I live in Virginia! If this truely is ERMI (ENCOR FINANCE) then maybe not only reports to the phone company but also to the better business beurual would help-I'm at my wits end with this!

This is absolutely wrong.....this idiots call my house all the time asking to speak to someone I have never heard of.  I have asked to speak to the supervisor and they hang up, ENCORE SUCKS.  This is harrassment, I have actually called back twice and got the same response, we will take your # off of the list....yeah right, I have had enough.  They still call.

Seems like I'm among a group of people receiving phone calls from this company -- at least 5-6 times/day from 8:30am to 9:00pm -- on a daily basis. I, too, have answered the phone but usually receive "dead air" and then the "click" of the call being disconnected.  These calls have been coming in for months & I have yet to get a "person" on the line, just the silence and then the clicking. Didn't know who the calls were coming from until I reconnected my caller ID.  This is harassment, but how do you deal with the calls when you don't talk to anyone, and I'm not paying to make a long distance, out-of-state call to do it! My mother has been receiving similar "hang up" calls, but no way to track the call as she doesn't have caller ID and she's tried the *69 and it just says it's "out of the area".

Today is Sunday, 7:40pm and someone from this number has called at least five (5) times today!  My elderely father does not need this type of harassment.  We don't know who these people are and have never had any dealings with them.
