Just received a call. AT&T is my celluar phone provider as well. I did not answer the call because I did not know the number. Really ticked that I was even woke up for this! It was indicated that I had a voicemail, but there was no message left, just dead air.

2nd time in two days i've received a similar call, saying my debit card had been locked. I knew it was fishy the first time because the caller ID returned a weird code that was not a real phone number. Today when I called the caller ID came up as 703-674-5500. I didn't try calling it, nor did I "press 1" to talk to a representative. Like the other people here, I do not have an account with the bank they claimed they were calling from.

This is a follow-up post to SteelCloud's earlier message posted to this board - the phone calls you are receiving are, as Dave noted above, a vishing scam. Please do not respond to the call instructions. The unknown person/s responsible for placing these calls are attempting to collect personal information from callers.
Please do not contact SteelCloud as SteelCloud is not responsible for creating or placing these calls - unfortunately the person/s responsible have chosen SteelCloud's number to list as the response phone number.
Thank you for your understanding.

| SteelCloud 2011-10-11 13:16:06 Unknown |
This message is from SteelCloud. PLEASE DO NOT CALL STEELCLOUD TO REPORT THESE CALLS. THESE CALLS ARE NOT BEING ISSUED FROM STEELCLOUD.
Please note that the unknown person/s issuing these calls has been providing SteelCloud's number as the return number for these calls.
This is an inconvenience for us as well and we're trying to work with phone companies etc to resolve. Please report these calls to your phone company and to the appropriate authorities.
Thank you for your understanding.

I received one of these on my cell phone a few days ago and then last night at 2am received another - it's like Jen says, they identify something about a Wells Fargo debit card being locked - since I don't have an account with Wells I know it's a scam = would just like Wells at least to do something to take them out.

Just received a call from 703-674-5500. It went to vm and said my debit card has been locked and to unlock it I would have to press 1 and speak to cs. However, it did not give me a # to call back on. If this is supposedly Wells Fargo, I don't have an account with them.
