I received a call from this number 11/8/13 at 10:44 A.M. The only info that came up with this number is VA, USA. I have not given my service provider my permission to give out my number. I rarely enter or purchase anything on line, so I shouldn't be receiving these random calls from unknown numbers.
 

Did not answer - the fouth call of three in the last week all from unknown numbers - 708-000-0001, 703-684-1487 and 334-521-6646 were the others.  I am on the DO NOT CALL list.

This number was left on my cell phone and I don;t know anyone with this number.

I received a call from this number. I played along. They are offering to reduce credit card rates. Is There anyway to stop this? "Fred" with a THICK accent will be calling back at 4pm to get my bank account info. Any suggestions on what to do?

I also got a call from this number, but when I tried to called back it was busy.  Guess they must be trying to call others.  I don't get many telemarketers calling as I am on the Don't Call List, but I suppose since this is not a regular 800 number, they can get through.

I just got a call from this company as well, and I am on the national Do Not Call list.  Funny that Heather did not identify her company, and when I pushed 1, the guy said "credit card services" and I asked him what credit card company he was with and he hung up.  I then tried to call back (3x), but the line was busy.  Would like to report this scam to the authorities, but did a search and don't know the name of the company.  If they were really smart, they would block the number so we couldn't see it.  I called Verizon and reported it, so hopefully it will stop, at least until they get a new phone number.  Here is what I found with a reverse lookup:

Received a call on my work cell (federal law enforcement).  This is a complete scam run by foreigners to try to get you to supply your credit card number and personal identification in order to reduce your interest rate.  I played along and then terminated the call after reaming the "supervisor" that I was put in contact with.  CONSUMER BEWARE.

Receive the same call at least once per week. Always the same thing..credit card company trying to lower my interest rate! I dont even have a visa, i have a mastercard so knew it was bogus. They will ask you to verify the ENTIRE card #. Stay away. Common thing here appears to be sprint! Does anyone else here have sprint? Are they selling our #'s ?

Oh! Someone has their tin foil pyramid hat on a little tight today. Could you take it off? It shines too much & the guys in the black helicopters can't get a good shot at you.

THIS call came in at 9:45PM on my PRIVATE, UNLISTED Home business (land)line.  Caller ID said "SPRINT."  I let it go to machine; dead air/ROBOCALL.  Others have reported they got the tired old "Lower your CC Interest Rate" spiel.  WE got THAT (recorded) call YESTERDAY from 401-946-1270, with Caller Id listing it as "MASSACHESETTS" even tho' 401 is a RHODE ISLAND area code!!  So undoubtedly, these two (likely SPOOFED) numbers are connected.  THEN, *TWELVE MINUTES* after THIS call (703) we got ANOTHER call from "WISCONSIN" @ 414-232-5011.  Clearly, all one and the same.

yes I have tried to call back and it is busy  want to find out who they are so I can report them to the atty gen for calling on a no call phone

Telemarketers at phone 703-689-5298 constantly call and when we select the option for them not to call it makes no difference, they call again and again.

I got the same call on my cell 30 min ago.  Didn't pickup.  No message left.

They just called my cell phone. I didn't answer. They left no message. I don't have any debt, credit card or otherwise.

This is a telemarketer claiming to lower your interest rates for CitiBank, they will ask you for your Credit Card number they tell you they are acting in conjunction with the Credit Card Company Rate dept. They state that you will recieve the information i the mail.
It screams SCAM

JUST as I finished typing the above comment I got ANOTHER call on my regular line from "WISCONSIN" 414-232-5011.  SCAMMERS are BUSY this morning.  TWO calls, TWO different lines, from TWO DIFFERENT NUMBERS (but probably same CRIMINALS) within TWELVE MINUTES of each other (and THREE CALLS within 18 hours.) I *HAD* been getting a lot few calls in the last couple of months, but now they seem to be 'revving up' again.  I guess SOMEBODY got out of JAIL!

Called my UNLISTED Private Home Business (land) line.  Am running an ad currently.  Let it go to ans. machine.  No message hang-up Robocall - obvious from 'dead air' sound on recording.

But from the description, it was same 'source' as call I got yesterday from 401-946-1270.  THAT call got me the same recorded message as others describe above (on machine).

Caller ID said "SPRINT", so now I know whom to complain to, on top of the DNC list.  We have two Sprint accounts in this household.  I'm going to call their Customer Service and demand they shut off this number.
