Called.  Very foreign and lazy voice, was actually talking to someone else in the room before answering my Hello.  She said "I understand that you are over 65 and diabetic."   I told her that was not true and to take me off whatever list they had.  Am on No Call LIst so they are in violation.

Same story---same number with a question about diabetes. when I mentioned the don not call list she (foreign accent) hung up. What I am curious and concerned about is that she asked for the person in the house with diabetes. How could she have confidential medical information? If anyone has similar concerns, please post them.

Someone called today but did not leave a message.. Caller ID said Great Falls, Va.

Be careful, you are giving them your number and name again, plus it could be a foreign number and you will get a doozy of a bill. Don't give them anything.

Well it is not easy, but I feel like we all should get together and find out why the government agency Do Not Call list will do nothing when you file a complaint, these people have been calling me for five years or more and been reported each time, nobody does a thing. So I am hittins *57 putting a trace on it, and writing down, time, date and number. These people use a different number each time they call, and they are all crooks. Apparently I received one this morning it was from a SPOOFED NUMBER 317-000-0000, left no message, I know who they are, only problem is they use a different number each time. There is a whole family of them all over the US, and at one time, I could kick myself, I found a website that gave me their name, and now I cannot remember the darn website. Hope this helps, but I don't know anything else but to ignore them. I have had screaming matches with them, the girl told me she would call me any fffing time she wanted to, and there was nothing I could do about it, she was right about that.

Received a call from this number on Friday - Man with a foreign accent stated he was called from the Diabetes Association - told him I was not interested and hung up.  Have received several calls from this number - annoying and wish they would go away.

We also have friends and family in VA, including Great Falls. Daughter answered, said hello several times, man asked for me, daughter asked who was calling several times, no answer,  she then heard him say to someone else, "she answered the phone", daughter hung up at that point.

Just received the call from 703-757-0519. As I have relatives in VA with a 703 area code, I answered and a woman with a foreign accent called me by my first name and asked me if I were on medicare for diabetes. When I said no, she said, politely, Oh, OK, and hung up.
Very strange.

This number called me and hung up.   Foreign voice.

I am sure it will be a charge on my phone bill.

Isn't it a shame that just about everything in America now is a scam.

Wish I had a button on my desk I could push that would vaporize these kinds of scum operations.

Question:  Why the hell can't the phone company shut down these kinds of operations FAST.   Answer:  They could/would if it were costing them money.

I just tried calling that number back.  The message I get is "I'm sorry that number cannot be completed as dialed or the number has been disconnected".  It must be one of those throw-away phones.

Got a call from this number about 10 minutes ago.  Said hello twice before someone said anything....she said her name was Amy and asked if I was (my name) and I said I was. She said she was calling to verify some information with regard to diabetes....I immediately said I don't have diabetes.  That is when she hung up.

Called and asked for my mother-in-law.  When I told them she was out of town the man said "oh really?" in a rude way and then hung up.

Phone rang - lots of people noise in the background and foreign accented woman wanted to talk with me.   Told her I am on the "do not call list" and am hanging up.   Which I did.

Called and asked  a question that I did not understand. I asked to repeat and the phone went dead.

I picked up the phone thinking it might be on of my friends in Virginia, judging from the 703 area code on the caller ID, which identified the call as "unknown".  There was about a half minute of silence, during which I said "hello?" two or three times, after which a female voice with a foreign accent said "good-bye" in a friendly but ironic way and then hung up.

Answered call, but no one there.
