I continue to get calls informing me that I can lower my interest rate on my credit cards.  This is an automated system that tells you to press 1 if you're interested.  When I press 1, it then disconnects you.
I believe, without a doubt, that this is a scam.

I have recently been looking for an apartment through different websites and was required to leave a phone number.  I didn't start receiving these calls until after the numerous scam responses that I received while trying to rent an apt.

I can tell you the real story behind these calls folks because I have a friend which worked in this company as a trainer and he quit when he moved back in the US  .My mom used to get these phone calls and even now she receives such phone calls but now she knows the truth and not to provide any info over the phone .  A company called Centro Global Solutions owned by a guy named Hisham Farag ( aka Sean Farag ) whom is an American citizen even though he's an Egyptian .  He used to have lots of medical businesses in the US the past decades . He sold his company , returned to Egypt and created this new company . He made a deal with the USHS ( US Healthcare supply ) from NJ . He's using egyptians and foreigners in his call center  .  As agents the job is pretty simple : they obtain lists of numbers which they put it in their automatic dialer, such as Eyebeam ( google )  and that's how you get tens of calls per day/week/month from different numbers but same people or organization . It's job is to "convince" you to get transferred to the next campaign ( company ) HPAS which they will transfer you to the provider where they'll get your doc's info ( name ; phone and fax no ; address , NPI etc ) and they do a thing called " insurance check " which means they get your medicare claim no ( or SSN ) and put it the Medicare System ( or Pipe Line ) where it will show if your medical company / companies will provide you 100 % coverage for any medical equipment , if qualified by them and your doctor of course .
Once they get your doctor approval they should send you the package thought the US Mail at the mailing address / PO BOX that you provide or confirm with them .

His company has this website : www.centroglobalsolutions.com and says it's located in Fairfax , VA . There are plans that soon  they might open another call center in that city as well , besides the one he owns in Egypt .

I made a complaint and I invite you all people to do the same .

Someone called me at 3 am in the morning and I couldn?t understand a word he was saying. I think he was Chinese or from the Philippines or something. I told him it was too early and that I wanted to sleep but he just kept on blabbering, I ended up hanging up on him. I kinda felt bad to be honest but when he called back blabbering again I had to hang up on him again!

I received the call this morning from "America(n) Seniors Assistance", but now the caller ID shows number unavailable and unknown caller.  I pressed 2 to be removed from list...but Jane (?) came on the line.  I asked her if they were a private company or a non-profit ... and she hung up.

(This is a totally different thread..but I continue to get an occasional call from the "computer service" guys at
V61713403400002.
Phone number showed 702-998-3416.)

Got a call from 'American Seniors Assistance', standard script. Pleasant woman with English accent, eventually admitted she was in the Philippines (after claiming the company was in Fairfax, VA). Also referred to transferring the call to H-PASS, who would do the next step. Insisted on getting DOB. The attempted "free" item was a diabetes pump. I managed to use up 10 minutes of their time.

The Do Not Call List is a joke. Have reported many numbers to them with no replies and months later get calls from same companies again. Reported to my Congressman and filled out a form, under his office instructions, only to get a reply back many weeks later. The letter was a basic Washington Gobbelty Gook saying nothing. But if enough people write or call their Congress Person, complaining about the Do Not Call enforcement, we might get some action. By the way, the company in question's phone number now comes up 000-000-0000 on my phone.

These posts go back at least 3 years and the calls continue with the same script and methods.  Our comments may be helpful in that we know better how to avoid being trapped by these theives, BUT evidently there's no way to stop them either.  If anyone knows how we can help do that, let me know and I'll help.

These people call me several times a day every day for the past 3 years.  Today I got an operator on the phone and told her to quit calling me, what does she do, call me right back!  Then I let her have it and what does she do call me right back - 3 x's.  Cuss them out when they call!  The FTC or some government agency needs to stop in and put these SCAM artists out of business - they are probably bilking the government anyhow!

I have been on the "do not call" list for over 6 months and these calls irritate me no end.  When I asked where they were located they hung up on me...that was rude!  They should be fined for this because it is clearly a violation of the "do not call" program and they are aware of the violation.

I received the same message.  We have no caller ID so I couldn't do a reverse lookup.  However, I pressed 2 to be removed and got a voice that sounded middle eastern.  As always I asked "In what country are you located?"  This guy said he was in Fairfax Virginia.  I asked for a supervisor, he said "No" and hung up.

I will be contacting the Fairfax VA Police Dept to follow up.

BUT here's a tip:  I always now ask "IN what country are you located?" If they say the United States I always ask "What State" and "What is the first digit of your ZIP Code."

See ZIP Code Map (and print it out) at this long internet address which you should copy, paste into your internet browser's address box, and then press enter:
http://toolbar.inbox.com/lp/lpu.aspx?tbid=801 ... paign=ppc07-25d

This maps lists all states and possessions and shows what the first digit of their ZIP Code would be.  If they can't answer that I launch into a profane tirade until they hang up.  When one said "Central America" I said "obviously not Kansas."  One said "Downtown California" and I was laughing so hard I had to hang up.

If I get the message again, I am going to play along, try to get an idea of where they are located, and post back.

I just  received  a telephone call from American Seniors Assistance.  They were eager to send me a new meter because he said they were discontinuing One-Touch.  I asked for a telephone number so I could contact them after I called Medicare and my supplemental insurance.  He immediately told me "have a nice day" and hung up..  This is the second scam incident I have had this week.  The other was winning a marvelous prize package in England. All I had to pay was  shipping charges. I am not aware of their telephone since I don't have caller ID.

I received a call this afternoon, they identified themselves as American Senior Assistance, MAX, he proceeded to tell me that if I were on Medicare that if I had any arthritis problems with my back, hands, etc, that they had a product that was free, and covered by my insurance.  Asking me if I had secondary insurance.  It all sounded kinda corney to me. so I asked How these braces worked, he hemmed and hawed and basically said it was new technology,  I was somewhat tempted.  Then when I refused to give "MAX any personal info, he became rude and said, if I were not interested, why did I waster his time and mine and hung up quite abruptly.  I hope they are caught!

They're still at it.  Call at 1540 hours 4/9/2012, from American Seniors Assistance, but with the wrinkle of Caller ID blocked.  Robo Message played as printed above.  "Max" wanted to know if I had Medicare, but when I asked how he obtained the telephone number, he hung up.

On March 28, 2013. I received a call this morning from American Senior Assistance for diabetes and back pain. The gentleman with an accent actually repeated the company's name so I could understand it. I told him thank you as I would be using it to report to the Do Not Cal List. Retiring soon; this looks like my new job, wasting scammers time. Let's see my ssn 947300u349uou4095749530850. birthday 16 of, opps that's not it, let's see, honey, what's my birthday? The DO NOT CALL lists don't work on these scammers.  Best thing to do is keep them on the line and waste their time and money tying up a live person with your call.

Number was from the Dominican Republic 849-965-5896. I informed the caller (option 1) so as to speak with someone and waste their time and money. Option 2 is to remove your number from their list - fat chance. I informed them they I was on a DO NOT Call list - big deal. Well I at least wasted their time ($$$$) if nothing else.

I got 3 calls from these scammers. They  were using 849-963-4896. WhenI pushed 2 on my phone a woman answered. She tried to make it sound like she was calling from Medicare. She was resistant to giving the company name but finally said they were American Senior Assistance. When  I tried to get more information on that company out of her she hung up on me.

These skammers called me also.  I asked for their website and they replied they had none.  I was talking with a female operator, who simply hung up when I began asking questions about their company.  Dirt bags, I called my mafia friends who will take care of them for me.

Same call and scam on 3 1 12.  By now these scams are pretty easy to pick out.  I report them to the do not call list which seems to do nothing but I report them anyway.
