got  a call from Mary stating that a "zeldin naser" listed me as a contact and that she needed a statement from me regarding him.  Said it was "very urgent."  She told me her office is trying to contact this "zeldin naser" person and can't get a hold of him, thus requiring me to submit a statement.  Unfortunately I did call back and left her a message stating I had no clue who this person was.  Anyways - thanks to this site and your posts I am set straight regarding this "Mary Porter".  

I love Google!  Mary Porter called me too. Same MO of stating a case number and needed my statement immediately. Freaky.  Can the authorities do anything if we all report it?

Mary Porter called this morning looking for a guy I've never heard of saying he listed me as a contact? I do not know such a person. My mom just called and told me the same lady called her asking for my number and info about me, saying I listed my dad as a contact and that Brandon and I dated. Weird! I tried calling her back to find out what's going on, but she never answered.

Got a call for what could have been for my sister from Mary Porter also with a Case # and she was of Virginia - sound like a scam to me as well.  We don't live in Virginia.  Caller also stated it was for a Civil Caser matter and gave me a case #.  Stated she was from CPI in Virginia.  Be careful as it sounds like a scam and give out no information ever.

Mary Porter left a message on my answering machine for a person that I have NEVER heard of in my life. I am concerned that my identity has been stolen. After viewing this web site, I called her back and told her that I am reporting her to my state's attorney general. I appreciate all of the people that have posted on this web site. What a pond scum sucking bi***!

I got a call today from "Mary Porter", caller ID said 703-880-5485. Said the same thing about a civil case from 12 years ago with some company I've never heard of before and never had credit with.  This number belongs to Mary and Brian McDonald, both in their 30s and living at 420 Crosman Ct in Purcellville, VA 20132.  I tried finding CPI, but came up with no companies that were even close to what she said.  I did find one that is a merchant service that let's you send money to any individual. Sounds very suspicious. Michelle Silver, I believe is her pseudonym.

Mary porter called my sister in law looking for my ex brother in law from my second wife there is no connection there so it's a scam and these people have to much info report it to the federal trade commission they will prosecute I've done it with another fake caller

I just received a message from Mary Porter asking me to call her about a guy I had never heard of and that he had our name listed as a contact somewhere and she needed to reach him. She provided a name (Grillo) and case # as well. The caller ID came up as M McDonald and the number was 703-880-5485.

Since I googled this I will not be returning the call!!

My ex and his in-laws were contacted on their cell phones by "mary porter" wanting all the info they could give her including my cell number and used the same story of a civil suit. Shady move but clever idea calling the ex for dirt. Anyway she called my cell twice and left a message that I had to contact her ASAP to make a statement before the civil suit went into litigation and gave a case number and her contact info. Its a fact lawyers amd creditors can't leave a detailed message without ur consent in case the number is incorrect AND her firm only has one phone line and a persons name on the caller id and not a business name or "private" is very sketchy. If u ask me. Oh and there's two more websites just like this one packed with story after story about mary porter and her civil suit scam. Check out how many different states are reporting the same scam. Crazy!

Wow so grateful for google! Ms mary porter called my ex husbands cell phone his wife and his mother in law claiming I was involved in a civil suit and she needed all the info she could get to locate and contact me ASAP! Not only did he call my cell but also my parents when I didn't answer and he did not appreciate being contacted about me. IRONICALLY mary porter called my cell 5 mins later...twice...and left a message claiming she needed info about a civil suit and I needed to make a statement asap before it went into litigation. She left a case number and her 707 blah blah contact info. First of all I know from experience that lawyers and creditors cannot leave any specifics on a voicemail without consent because the number may be incorrect. Thank goodness google was my next move and I was happy to share the info with all concerned parties. Wonder if ms porter realizes that real companies have more than one phone line and the same number doesn't pop up everytime u call and the caller ID never has someones nam

I received 2 messages from this number and the person using the wrong last name for me name was Mary Porter. This is a ficticuos name and an illegal 3rd party operation. They call to get you to pay for debt that usally is not yours and is Not a legal case #. All legal cases are made public and you can go to you local court house website to obtain any official case docs. BESIDES THE COURT NOR DO ATTYS CALL YOU!!

A REAL attorney would tell you who they are and what office they are working out of. They would also send you court papers, rather than calling you.

This same Mary has called my ex husband's wife, my brother's wife's parents, and who knows who else. . . all in an effort to harass me through others. I'm not that had to find.

I have no outstanding debts, but these folks are persistent. I believe it is a junk debt buyer, buying old debts  - like 20 years old - long out of the statute of limitations. They are definitely breaking every debt-collector rule.

Mary Porter just called me too!  Asking for me or my husband. Stating she was an lawyer, since my husband is currently using a probate lawyer, I though it may be her.

She didn't say anything, I kept saying hello, and then called back..again thinking this maybe the lawyer my husband is dealing with.  I got her voice mail.

Then doing this search, looks like a scammer!  If so, she needs to be stopped now!

Mary porter called asking for my dad the same as all these post knows name city and a so called case # I asked her for her information and she just beat around the bush and said she would call back at a later time.

My daughter and I both received messages yesterday from a Mary Porter at 703-880-5485, asking for another relative.  The disconcerting part is that this person has so much linked information about our family including 3 family member names (maiden and married), two phone numbers, and mentions an accurate city.  It seems very suspicious.  Has anyone figured out what they really want or what they're trying to gain from these calls?

This Mary Porter person called me and stated that she was trying to reach my Grandmother pertaining to a case in Florida although she was out of Washington.  She provided her call back number and a "case number of 301177."  I called my Grandmother who said she doesn't know the woman and why would she be calling me to reach her?  

After googling the number and finding this site, I quickly called my Grandmother back and informed her that this look to be some sort of scam so my Grandmother said she will not be returning this woman's call.

Pn March 27, 2013 Mary Porter called and left a message on my voice mail.  Indicated that she needed a statement from him for a specific case number and it was urgent that she spoke to him immediately.  She left her number and asked that he call back right away.   I will not be calling her back.

This Mary Porter or whomever she is, is now harassing employees at one of the office stating she needs to speak with a particular person and provided a reference # for this person to return the call to provide a statement....this is now harassment on the job.

Lady named mary porter called my cell phone asking for my father-in-law. Said had my number as direct number for him. Claimed to be with CPI and handling a cival case from Nettelton MS and needed a statement from him. Ask that i have him give her a call back based on info that i found on here we will not be returning the call.

I received a message from a Mary Porter urgently needing to contact me for a statement related to a specific case number out of a specific city in Washington state. Did not say any company or organization the call was in reference to this call. This appears to be a landline in Herndon Virginia. I'm not going to return her call.

This person called a friend of my mother-in -law and wanted to take a statement about her.  She proviede a "case number."  He phoned me and reported the message.
I in turn called the number her provided and the woman who answered refused to identify herself or tell me what she was calling about.She told my mother-in-law's friend her name was Mary Porter, but the caller ID came up as M. McDonald.
When I identified myself as an attorney she put me on hold allegedly going to talk to one Michelle Silver.
After I repeatedly asked her who she was and what was this call all about, she said I am ending this call and hung up on me.
