on caller id just said Virginia tried to call the number back said had been disconetted.... kind of strang to me

on caller id showed L Hinton. No msg left. called number back and it said it had been disconnected.

I just had this number call my house, I was on the other line and didn't recognize it, so I didn't take it.  When I called it back out of curiosity a disconnected recording came on.

We just got this call too.  I will not answer any number I don't recgonize.  We have no idea who this is.  We did not try to call back.

I just got a call from this number a few minutes ago. It's a recording, a political ad. That makes sense, since I live in Michigan, and the primary is Tuesday. They misidentified themselves as a research company, and the recording asked political yes-or-no questions. When it began to tell me dirt about Republican political candidates, I hung up but then was sorry I did because I wanted to know whose campaign was doing this. It's not McCain's because they were saying negative things about him when I hung up. So I googled the number to find out who it belonged to (so I knew who NOT to vote for) but just got the name "L Hinton." Maybe I'll google that name.

Received a call from this #, left no message. No answer when calling back.

Got this same call from L. Hinton - twice in the same day.  How irritating.  Tried calling back and the number was disconnected.  Think it might be Hillary's buddies?  BTW, did anyone else here get the distinct impression that the guys holding signs 'iron my shirt' think it was soooo staged (like I certainly did).  Hillary had an instant cute response awaiting when they held it up for her, right on cue.  She is trying to appeal to the feminist woman inside all us females......please don't fall for her crap.  Romney or McCain in 08.

WHAT ANGERS ME IS THAT THE NUMBER IS "SPOOFED".  "Caller ID spoofing" is when technology that allows the caller to mask their true number...

Caller identified himself as conducting a 45 second political poll, but the questions were worded in a way that made Romney look like he had a bad voting record and Huckabee a good one.  I hung up as soon as it went that direction.  I don't mind participating in a short survey, but it is dishonest to run an ad as if it is a survey.

same comment as Beth, basically, except, I figured that it was a bit late for political callers since today IS primary Tuesday in Michigan, what doofus'!  Doesn't matter, I already voted by the time they called anyway!  hahaha.

since the SOUTH CAROLINA primary's are this Saturday they r surveying the people im guessing.I'm truly pulling for Hilary Clinton this time around.

All the questions asks from this survey were in favor of Hukabee and made all the other republican candidates look like hypocrites and horrible leaders.To most of the questions i answered with a "no" considering i do not like the republican side of this "democracy".

Received call 1/9/07 at 8:44 PM caller ID said L. Hinton.  This was a push poll from Huckabee's campaign or supporters.  The opening question was "Do you plan to vote in the Michigan Republican primary on Tuesday?  I said yes and the program continued with questions distorting the records of McCain and Romney followed by positive supporting statements for Huckabee.  The call terminated after about 9 minutes when I replied YES to the question "Do you support the work of Senator Carl Levin (a democrat)?  This poll was highly unethical, immoral and of questionable legality.  Huckabee should be ashamed of himself and I doubt that a good Christian would permit these calls.

This number belongs to a dating scamm artist whose name is Mike Connor-scammer AKA Andrew Gerald Conner, Gerald Darren, Shielu Fatai. I asked him for his cell phone number and he gave me this number and it is disconnected. This guy is operating out of Nigeria other phone numbers associate with him are, 011234805379821 this number seems to be turned off and on and a lady voice will come on and say this number is not a reachable number, (513) 322-0004. He uses stolen pictures of other men, such as Albert Butler who is on 900 AM Wurd radio station.

Wome beware of Shielu Connor.....he is a fake......he will take your money and he talks really sweet....don't trust him I pray that he is caught and put in jail.....number associate with him 0112348052810161

This guy is one of the worst. Constantly references God, begs for money right off the bat. Needed money to save his dying son, didn't have neought money to get out of Nigeria, was robbed Uses a picture of a very attractive man to lure women in. Took me for 800 with sob story about his son needing an operation. A picture should be posted of the so called Mike Connor or any of the above, so everyone will know not to fall for the fake guy, The scammer is using his face. In the mean time, it would  dewter the scammer from getting in contact with any more victims. I collected all the information I could and turned everything over to a relative at the FBI. This guy does not play they will catch him. Connors greed won't allow him to stop and that's when he'll get caught hopefully to go to jail for a very long time. If the mention of Nigeria comes up, it's nothing but a scam.

This # is located in Virginia. These scammers have many phone lines. some are land lines and most are mobile phones. They often use one # and scramble it several times. Be careful, there are entire families that participate in this garbage. I have to think that since they reference God so much they will have to answer to him for using his name in such a sinful way.  I truly believe that he will take care of this people better than any of us ever could. Recieved a call from this number but didn't answer it. It only state "Virginia" as the Caller Id.

I have also been receiving polital "survey" calls pushing Huckabee about every day this week. The L Hinton 703-961-1077 number was one. Today the call was from  Herndon Va., 703 787-7296.Caller ID said DR FE PR COM, whatever that is. I strongly agree with Mark's comment on 12 Jan. I don't remember this kind of thing happening in the past, but I hope it stops soon. Only 10 months before the election , and I am sick of all the politicians already

Got a call from this # on 1/16 at 12:30 - Didn't answer b/c I didn't recognize the # - so they get my fax if it rolls over.  Love that loud noise in the ear!

I had two calls yesterday from 703-961-1077.  Luckily, I wasn't home.  No message left but the caller ID had the name L. Hinton.  Tried to call it back out of curiosity tonight and it was disconnected so I decided to search the internet because I was puzzled.  I'm in SC and on the Do Not Call List.

1/14/08 2 calls... Same thing happened to me.  I went to Anywho.com and found out that the number came from L. Hinton at the same address in Fairfax, Va.  Can we not ban this!??  I am on the DO NOT CALL LIST!! Thanks, Resident in SC.

In S.C. I got the call last night slamming McCain and saying great things about Huckabee. Called the # back and it was disconnected.

i live in SC and our primaries are the next two saturdays,and guess what number has called me three times today. one time it said l hinton the other times it said unavailable

I am in South Carolina and it's almost 7PM my time and this # just called my house as well.  I didn't pick up because it said VA and I don't know anyone there.  I always worry when I call #'s like this back that it's logging my # into a database or something.  Who knows?

I live in Nevada - our caucuses are this Saturday.  I got this phone call last night and now expect to get several more before the weekend.
