So, are you in jail yet?  I'm not either.   I told them I was recording our "conversation" and that did the trick.  Scammers don't want to be recorded.   Just tell ANYONE who calls that your phone is recording the call and it will be used against them if the law becomes involved.

For future reference, tell callers that YOU are going to record the conversation also.  THAT will scare them off. Keep the bluff going, they won't know the difference.

Tell the "collector" that YOU are recording the call as well as him.  They typically say they are going to set the recorder, and you should hear beeps during the recording process.  But just keep at it on every call, and they will hang up  or  just keep harrassing you.  Keep saying you are recording the conversations.
They won't get rough if they think they are being recorded.

SAME GUY CALLED (BRUCE REGAL) WITH A HEAVY FOREIGN ACCENT( INDIA)  . TELLING ME HOW I OWE HIS CLIENT $300. AND WAS FILLING CHARGES AGAINST ME STARTING WITH BANK FRAUD. WHEN I REQUESTED SOME SORT OF DOCUMENTATION HE SAY'S HE CANNOT SEND ME ANYTHING EXCEPT THE WARRANT FOR MY ARREST . IN 3 WORKING DAYS. THIS IS A SCAM ARTIST ,TRYING TO GET PAID !!!!!!!  SCREW THEM!!!!!!!

He Bruce Regal called from DFF called from 282-726-2524 also gave me a disconnected # of 508-206-1584  This call just came in about 5 minutes ago. August 19, 2011

These guys are scam artists, hoping to scare you into paying money you don't actually owe.  Don't give them anything but a hard time.

Same thing here but they called my job. Didnt get a chance to call them back yet because I looked up the number first and found this site.

This number has been referred to my attorney numerous times and they refuse to cease their calls.

Have been receiving calls from this number for a few days now.  same bs here.  The names I was given were Stanley Lewis and Bruce Regal.  The company name was supposedly DFF (Detection for Financial Fraud. They called multiple times.  Has happened off and on for over a year now.

My daughter also had a call from this number, they would be arresting her after 5:00 yesterday if the matter was not taken care of.  Tis was a woman and she sounded like she was from India.  They called on her cell phone and said someone was using her phone number for identity theft.  I called them back after I got home from work, same putting me on hold and finally I just hung up.  The woman was very hard to understand and when I asked her what number she was talking about (supposedly my Daughters) she gave out an entirely different number with a different area code.

Oh Lord they have called again,  I will be arrested in 2 hours per Jerry William....  blah, blah, blah

Put his number on a Craigslist ad so ppl will call him every day all day!!.... its a scam they stopped calling me for awhile then they started again even if you pick up and hang up multiple numbers will keep calling back over and over until you actually talk and its generated to show up on your phone random numbers... you cant stop it even if you block it.. thats the reason why they leave this 704-765-2149 for you to call them back! ... I called back blocked and f****d with them over and over ... Its a huge scam.

this is definately a scam .. sounds like the same guys that were calling me repeatedly last year from a MAssachussetts phone number. They call regarding a friend of mine who has made fraudulent activity.. its all false information and they ask for the remaining digits of your social. last year they claimed to be law enforcement and called all of my friend's family members. they stopped after i told them I reported them to a government agency (which I did). Guy claimed to be Brian Dawson (or Dodson) heavy accent. received the phone call August 9,2011.. Dont remember when the calls last year happened but they lasted for over 2 months so if they are just stating again I am going to be in for a long 2 months.

I have received several phone numbers from these guys. The most recent one was today, August 9th, 2011... I hadnt received calls from them for over a year. They claim that A friend of mine was involved in fraudulent activity yadda yadda .... they actually called all of her family members last year.. looks like they are at it again .. This time the guys name was Brian Dodson or dawson) heavy asian or middle eastern accent so I couldnt tell .. Last year the calls lasted for about 2 months and when I finally told the guy that I reported him to his local sherriff the calls stopped. I made a report with a federal agency and emailed the local police department where the number was out of. The one difference about the call today was that the guy did not claim to be an officer where as last year he was claiming to be law inforcement. This phone number (704) 765 2149 says its a landline out of North Carolina. When I got these calls last year it was a landline out of Massachussetts but the calls were regarding the same friend. Calls got heated last year with me repeatedly asking them to stop calling because they were calling over 10 times a day and if I would hang up on them they would call right back. They stopped after I reported them to a federal agency and told them I did so.

I have also received a call from these fellows with no explaination of who and what they are, all they did was threaten legal action against me.

I got a phone message from tel no. 704-765-2129, the guy named Salman Masso was looking for my daughter because of a certain case number that needs further personal info from my daughter. The guy got my daughter's name correctly, but mentioned a vague sounding family name not hers.  The guy mentioned the last four digits of my daughter's social security, which was correct.  The message said that my daughter should submit the required info, otherwise she shall be in big trouble. When I called said 704 number, a male voice answered and said that he is from the office of Detection for Financial Fraud. When inqured if he knew my daughter's family name, he told me to hold on coz he is going to check his records. Then the phone just went silent, and I waited for abour 15 min more and the phone was off at the other end. I called again, but this time, it was just an answering machine.  
My main concern is no other than the STRESS that this call has created in our family, and worst my daughter who knew nothing about a case file that the guy was saying about.
this abhorrent act should be put to an end.  Am going to report this number plus the recorded message to the authorities concerned.
