Man with a heavy accent telling me my computer has a virus. I asked which one and he said my laptop. I asked which one and he said my Dell. I don't own a Dell laptop. I asked to talk to his manager. He said the manager was busy. He said he works for microsoft and my computer will be locked and unusable. This guy is preying on people who will be frightened into doing something. I asked for his number and he gave me a 209 266 2676 number but his call came from a 706 number. The number he gave me is a pinger number. This is a scam of some sorts and I urge anyone reading this to ignore this guy and report him if possible.

Same as Joe ... the guy said he is an employee of a company that preinstalls software on all computers. He went on to say they were getting messages about malware coming from my computer and told me to log onto my computer. I told him "no, I'm not going to do that". Then he told me to go to www.creativesolutionsonline.net to confirm his claim is legit (an obvious red flag) to which I responded that if I contacted anybody it would be HP support. I then asked for his name "Jerry" and phone number "(209) 266-2606" not the number on my phone display. Again, he urged me to log on, so he could show me the problem, and when I refused he barked "then don't be surprised when everything on your computer is wiped out" and hung up. I've been getting other calls this week with numbers (706) 805 which I ignore.

I received a call from this number from a guy with a thick foreign accent as well. However, he had stated he was with the "Windows Operating System monitoring company". He spoke about how my computer was sending out viruses and i needed to type in "www.support.me" to connect with a Official Windows Tech operator and that it required a fee to "never again have malware attack my computer". when he asked if i was ok with the "fee" i had stated no and with out another word the man had hung up the phone.

I received a call from this number from a guy with a thick foreign accent. Stating he was with the U.S. Government and that I had been awarded a grant and he wanted to deposit it in my bank or place on a pre-paid credit card. I said that I don't have an account and don't use credit cards. As this is private information I do not give out. He can mail a check if he is indeed for real. Now, let's see if that check ever shows up.
