Anybody who has been called by this number or is being harrassed by A-1 Solar's telemarketing vendors can try contacting the Business Consumer Alliance and lodge a complaint on their website: http://www.businessconsumeralliance.org/report/a-1-solar-power-100107330 . They will mediate your complaint with A-1 and A-1 will contact you and their marketing company to take you off the call list.  A-1 reports that they are implementing changes in their telemarketing oversight?we will see if the calls actually stop, because I just received another one this morning. Despite what some may feel about Business Consumer Alliance and their past history, it is really the only viable progress I have made in contacting contact A-1 to get their telemarketers off my back. If you are on the DNC, you should also lodge a complaint with the FCC, but realize that it will probably be an very long time before it pops up on their radar, since the numbers are spoofed and not everybody who complains knows that A-1 is the source of all these calls. Blocking numbers is ineffective?these telemarketing vendors spoof and rotate their numbers, so you will keep getting calls ad nauseum.

These people were stalking us too.. File a police report then give the report number to your phone company.. They will go in and block the Real number they are calling from..

Here it 3/17/14, and they are still around.  They have been 2 to 3 times a for the last couple of months.  I don't pick up if I don't recognize the number, and so message is left.  Caller ID say ST Helena.  It's very annoying and yes, I am on the no call list.

Here's how to get rid of these ********:
1. Call the corporate offices of A1 Solar in LA 855-410-4700 and tell them how angry you are with their telemarketers and demand that they stop calling you..
2. Follow up with an e-mail to the corporate office (go to "contact us" tab on their website). Remind them that they are liable for a $16k fine and criminal prosecution for each call for violating federal law and the CA penal code.
3. Call the local Petaluma office and also tell them how angry you are about these calls. 707-559-5683
4. File a complaint with the DA's office in your county.
5. If available, have your attorney (or free legal aid center) write to the corporate offices of A1 Solar and threaten to sue them if the calls do not stop immediately.
I did all of the above and the calls have stopped. If enough people complain about them, they will go to jail.

Group of Israeli mercenaries run 7 of 8 solar installation branch offices under the name of A1 Solar Power and feed their one-call-close sales crews the leads they get from these telemarketing efforts, based out of the back rooms of their Van Nuys headquarters in a telemarketing sweat shop staffed by tattooed junkies, and other desperadoes.

A1 denies any affiliation with the telemarketing business, which is not only literally hidden behind their corporate offices, but also legally hidden behind a different corporate name.

Very sleazy operation in the round.

Works like this: they get in the house by promising free systems, or huge rebates, or both, then pressure people not familiar with solar into highly overpriced contracts with bogus discounts and worthless 'rebates.' Then they hope their marks don't talk to other companies before the 3 day cancellation period expires.  About 50% of everything they sign, the lucky ones, cancel the next day or as soon as the sales person leaves the house, which us often 4 or 5 hours after they arrive. This is considered the cost of doing business this way, and they don't care except for the obey thet don't get from these folks. The rest of their customers get substandard installs do eBay untrained, sometimes unlicensed, subcontractors, who routinely work within routines rife with permitting, leakage, labor, and material problems. For their part, the sales person are told to never look back, and the person answering the customer service line purposely knows even less about what us going on. This is all part of the plan.

They don't plan on being around longer than it takes to fleece most of the sheep, so they don't care that they are giving solar a bad name.

I get a call from these dirt bags 3-5 times a day. I have caller ID and do not answer.

Calls start at  8:30 a.m.  Continuing on through the day until evening.  I have tracked this number to a landline in St. Helena, CA.  I am planning to start legal action against this person.

they call my house ten times a day at least. month after month. I am on do not call. I have solar already. I have asked them many times to stop calling me and take me off the list.  they keep repeating that they are not selling anything which is a lie.  This time I asked the guy the name of his company and he didn't know! Where is the headquarters. He didn't know. I asked for the supervisor and he hung up but not before i heard a pit boss in the background screaming and berating the callers to be more aggressive! Time to call the Cal Atty General.

Just to let you all know, I made a pretty compelling complaint to DNC website just now for them to take action. I told them the truth which is that I am a dialysis patient with little energy getting calls from them at 7am all the way to 9pm, disrupting my sleep and unable to turn my phone off as I'm awaiting a call for a kidney transplant. Along with that I mentioned some of your complaints of their questionable tactics. These people have got to be stopped and fined.

It makes no sense, why would they call  several time only to hang up?? What is their objective? Are they on drugs? They've been calling me several times a day but I haven't answered and didn't research the number until today. I found this forum and see the numerous complains, changing their ID, hanging up, how do they expect to run a successful business with practices like that? Or are they in it just to harass people? Someone needs to step in  and sue the pants off the jerks...

Call the company in Los Angeles and ask to speak to the owner or the manager.  Tell him how many calls a day you're getting and that you're sick of it, and you're going to sue him for harassment.  OR.. .Let the make an appointment, and when the techies show up, tell them how pissed off you are about getting phone calls from them and tell them you're going to keep making appointments until they stop.    The only way to stop these guys is through payback: inconvenience them like they are doing to you.

If you are on the do-not-call list and tell them this, or you tell them to take your number off their calling list and they still call, by law you can be compensated hundreds of dollars for EACH call afterwards they make to you. Google the number calling, there's a law firm that specializes in getting compensation for harassing spam calls. I'm getting them too and just googled the number calling me today. Now I know what to do.

Total harassment!  So far I have received 14 calls from the bogus "St. Helena" number in the last few days.  After 8 calls in one day, I cursed the guy out and told him to take me off the list.  I am registered on the DNC list.  Of course, I received another call within the hour.  Blocked that number, then they started calling from another spoofed number, which is listed here.  We answered the phone this morning, and the guy on the line was aggressive.  We asked to be taken off the list.  The calls kept coming today as well.  I now have that second number blocked and I filed a complaint with the FTC.  WHEN WILL THIS END!

If you read the consumer reviews of A1 Solar Power online, you wouldn't EVER want to use them, even if they didn't flagrantly violate the DNC regulations.

How does this continue to happen? This thread was started in September and I got another call this morning. I finally got a human on the phone and he was super rude. He said he would put me on their "do not call list"  and then called back an hour later. I am so frustrated that there is no way of stopping these calls.
