Have gotten several calls, one from female, one from Matt Brooks in past few months saying final drawing of SUV in Dec. Returned 1st call to female. Never asked for info or got sales pitch. What are these people after?

nurhayat 2011-06-06 20:55:07 Unknown
1-708-377-2877 is the number on my caller ID, however the message tells me to call 1-708-841-7506, telling me I entered a contest within the last 18 months to win an SUV, and won one of the top 4 prizes.
Not Falling For It 2011-06-06 20:55:07 Unknown
Got a message on voice mail @ our home. Same deal. "No money. This is not a solicitation". We're guaranteed winners of a prize. I don't think so.
cm 2011-06-06 20:55:07 Unknown

I enjoyed the promotion...It is about future savings in discount travel for consumers. Funny, people are so skeptical about stateside promoters providing QA and customer service; but when customer service calls are answered overseas i.e., in the Philipines, India, or Romania, people seem to feel more obliged to comply. To SWEEPSTAKES PROMOTION, I say "yea" for winning the contract for the giveaway. To the NAYSAYERS, I say wake up and smell the coffee for the home team in the U.S. of A.

I CONCUR!!! i visited the Gurnee presentation this weekend...very informative..The bottom line--No obligations whatsoever for my opinion about discount travel. I find this company to be comparable to Orbitz or Expendia, (online sites) with no customer service or hospitality appeal...In these days and times meeting the qualifications is par for the course in big or small business. I enjoyed the HOSPITALITY PUBLICITY and am using the $250 gas card obtained from Sweepstakes Promotions for my opinion.

So Mz. Lady and Marla, you've collected your prizes?? Im curious, because I just got this call too (claiming that my mom (had her first initial and last name) entered) I don't want it to be a scam, but I want to find out. Unfortunately, even when you do enter sweepstakes, you still have to be cautious on what's real and what's not. And let's face it, do any of us really remember everything we enter in?? How many times have you entered something thinking "Pshh. I'll never win." and forget about it??
Vic 2010-12-27 21:06:09 Unknown
It sounded like a scam to me. I did not call back. Mine came from a L .Ewing.
Laura 2010-10-30 19:49:19 Unknown
I got it today as well. Said her name was Kayla Anderson from "Sweepstake Promotions". Call was from Blue Island Ill. from phone number 1-708-841-7506. I'm sure its a scam. I did not enter any promotions in the past year. I am on the do not call registry, so they need to be reported.

Unwanted calls from 708-841-7506. Have a Do Not Call, but these annoying calls continue......I'm sure they are a scam. How do I stop
Niky 2010-10-07 19:42:42 Unknown
I got the same thing from Kayla Anderson but to call 708 841 7506. The area code IS from Illinois, pretty much Chicago area. I know that because I live in the far northwest suburbs of Chicago. The number came from a L. Ewing at 708 377 4223 - again, the Chicago area code. When I called back a female claiming to be by the name of "Denias" (odd name choice, especially for a scam, don't you think?) - asked her to spell it for me even - said that Kayla is her "assistant". She said something about Future savings and discounts for travel...blah blah I couldn't even write it down. Claims my mom must have entered in the sweepstakes promo within the past 18 months specifically for couples between the ages of 30 and 70. She states there is no money involved, nor is she a soliciter. Claims that the prizes are either a 2011 Lincoln Navigator, $25,000 cash, a trip for two, or a plasma TV. She also claimed that the prizes can be picked up at the Hilton Garden Inn in a city by me (specified the city as well). I'm assuming its a scam, maybe where you have to go sit through a sales pitch? I looked up the number on a reverse phone thing online and it says it's a residential number for a "D. Moore" (suppose the name "Denias" would fit the "D" huh?) Noooo Idea what this is. Im suspecting it's a scam, but I can't find anything to prove or disprove it. Sounds similar to everyone else's story from this number, but different names and all. I don't remember anything in the call about "Twin States" though.
Larry Ferarri 2010-07-12 20:46:12 Unknown
My message said Kayla Anderson and I should call (708) 954-9811. The rest was pretty-much the same ...I entered a contest in the last 18 months for a new car ...I am a garanteed winner of one of three major prizes... no money involved...yadah yadah yadah. I Goggled "Twin States" promotions - no hits...go figure.
KEL 2010-07-11 13:02:14 Unknown
SAME HERE.........CALLED YESTERDAY
Phil 2010-05-05 19:21:09 Unknown
My machine picked up this call from Matt Brooks saying exactly what everyone else was told. I looked up states with 708 area code and its in Cicero, Illinois. It must be a scam. I'm not answering it.

Mattew Brooks called and said I submitted an entry form within the last 18 months. Me or my wife have not submitted anything. The so called Mr. Brooks said we have won a SUV or one of the top four prizes and to please call 708-841-7506. We called and all we got was a recorded message to call them back. Life is way too short for this BS. The call originated in Arizona.
Patty 2010-05-01 01:34:52 Unknown
